The Last of Us Remake is announced for PS5, the PC version coming on a later date

Last of Us is a celebrated zombie-horror game from the acclaimed Naughty Dog studio. Since its release, the game has been praised a lot for its dynamic storytelling, stunning visuals, and impressive voice acting. It was a PS4 exclusive game and now, Sony has announced The Last of Us Remake for PS5 and PC.

The Last of Us Remake getting a September launch

One of the most celebrated Naughty Dog games, The Last of Us is getting a remake and it will land on PS5 on September 2nd, 2022. Surprisingly, Sony has ordered a PC version as well. It is currently under development and targeting a later release.

The Last of Us Remake at Summer Game Fest 2022

The launch date for the PC version is yet to be announced. The remake is titled The Last of Us Part 1. So, a remake for the sequel, or at least, a PC port of the sequel is not out of the picture.

According to the developers, the Last of Us Remake will have the same story but it will have improved character models and better visuals. The 2014 version of the game already had exceptional visuals and character design but it seems like Naughty Dog is ready to go ten steps further with the Last of Us Part 1.

The Last of Us Part 1 will be priced at $69.99 for PS5. The prequel DLC named, The Last of Us: Left Behind will be included in the bundle. Pre-orders will be available real soon.

It seems like Sony is getting ready to conquer the PC platform. This all may have started with the God of War PC version and it seems like, Sony is appreciating the love getting from the PC gamers. Earlier this month, the company ordered Marvel’s Spider Man’s Remastered Edition for PC. Now, the Last of Us is following the same steps. It won’t be long before the rest of the PlayStation exclusives land on PC.
