Mishaal Rahman recently posted a tweet in the X (Twitter) platform, said that can be launched on the iPhone Bluetooth pop-up window attack Flipper Zero, real test on the Samsung Galaxy S23 Ultra phone, will not lead to a crash or reboot.

It was previously reported that an attack tool called Flipper Zero, which costs only US$170, can send false radio signals to nearby smartphones and other devices to achieve denial-of-service attacks through dense Bluetooth pop-ups.

In addition, a developer has created an Android application that simulates Flipper Zero. Interested users can click on the relevant reading below this article to learn more.

According to tests, Google Fast Pair uses Bluetooth Low Energy (BLE) to detect and pair nearby accessories. The system detected a spam attack and stopped showing the device pairing pop-up after a period of time.

Samsung’s Nearby Device Scanning won’t stop the attack, but it won’t cause the phone to crash or reboot.

Allstate Protection Plans recently conducted a more scientific and rigorous durability car test, testing the iPhone 15 Pro Max and Galaxy S23 Ultra, both priced at US$1,199; and phones, both priced at US$1,799. Galaxy Z Fold5 and Pixel Fold in US dollars.

Water-proof test

All four flagship models have passed the immersion test and can work normally after being immersed in 6 feet of water for 30 minutes.

Drop test

The iPhone 15 Pro Max and the Galaxy S23 Ultra both shattered after being dropped face down from a height of 6 feet (Note: about 1.83 meters) to the concrete floor.

In the front-side screen-down drop test, the iPhone 15 Pro Max shattered on the first drop and became unusable due to raised and loose glass shards. The same thing happened with the Galaxy S23.

Note: The Z Fold5 and Google Pixel Fold were able to withstand two downward screen drops, which resulted in frame damage, screen dents, and scuffs, which Allstate attributes to a raised edge around the inner edge of each display.

In the drop test with the back facing down, both the iPhone 15 Pro Max and the Samsung Galaxy S23 Ultra shattered immediately. The iPhone 15 Pro Max still works fine, but two of the cameras no longer work due to damage to the camera glass.

Allstate Protection Plans tests iPhones every year, and even though Apple has upgraded the glass, there hasn’t been much of an improvement. Apple is using stronger glass on the back and a super-ceramic panel on the front, but glass is still glass and can still crack after it hits the ground.

According to the 3DMark Wildlife Extreme benchmark test results, the GPU performance of Samsung Galaxy S23 Ultra is better than that of the iPhone 15 Pro Max.

The benchmark mainly evaluates the performance of device GPUs under demanding and sustained graphics workloads. Judging from the results, the 4nm process Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 processor is better than Apple’s 3nm A17 Pro processor.

Attaches the test results as follows:

  • Apple’s iPhone 15 Pro Max started with a score of 3608 in the first test and dropped to 2843 in the second test, showing a “cliff-like” performance drop in just a few seconds.
  • In the 20th test, the GPU score of the Apple iPhone 15 Pro Max dropped to 2681 points, a drop of about 22%.
  • The Samsung Galaxy S23 Ultra started with a score of 3886, and after the 20th test, the score dropped to 2794, a drop of 28%.

Test results show that iPhone 15 Pro Max users may experience a sudden drop in frame rate during gaming. Although the A17 Pro uses the latest 3nm process, it has low energy efficiency and lacks an adequate heat dissipation system, making the device easily hot.

The photos of the moon taken by the Samsung Galaxy S23 Ultra phone were suspected of being fake. Although the official denied this claim, some netizens still did not buy it.

Eric is a Youtube blogger and an engineer with 12 years of experience in hardware engineering. Recently, he used mathematics and logic to analyze how to distinguish real and fake pictures in a video, and pointed out that Samsung may have been unfairly criticized.

Before starting to explain, Eric stated that he was not defending Samsung, but wanted people to better understand why these pictures had such an effect. First, he asked viewers how to tell the difference between real and fake pictures. He then showed a photo of the moon taken with an iPhone 14 Pro Max, where only a white spot was visible.

However, although the photo taken by the iPhone 14 Pro Max is real, it does not accurately reflect the appearance of the moon that people saw when it was taken, which is the purpose of the camera: to preserve the memory of what you saw with your own eyes And revisit.

The YouTube blogger also mentioned that Samsung explained the technology it uses in an article. To enhance the effect of the moon photo, the camera takes at least 10 pictures and uses image processing technology to remove blemishes and noise. Then, the sharpest parts of these moon photos were combined into a single image, and the image was further enhanced using AI trained to recognize the various phases of the moon.

Eric also mentioned u/ibreakphotos, who used Gaussian blur and other steps on Reddit to prove that Samsung misled consumers with “enhanced” moon photos. However, Eric said that netizens using Gaussian blur to imitate moon photos are the exact opposite of what Samsung does: Samsung uses convolutional neural networks. Eric also said that netizens lost a lot of detail when reducing the moon image to a size of 170 x 170 pixels, and applied Gaussian blur. When processing such a small amount of detail, Samsung AI has to make a best guess about what it’s processing, so the end result won’t exactly match the original downscaled image.

Due to Samsung’s Convoluted Convolutional Neural Network running, the final image results in a brown tint
The reason why the image is brown and the edge quality is degraded is that the Samsung convolutional neural network is working. When the brown tone is removed, you can see the picture very close to the picture before the netizen applied Gaussian blur.

The problem with this sequence of events is that Samsung has misled consumers into believing that the cameras of the company’s flagship smartphones are doing all the work, not AI. This may make users think that if the moon can be shot so clearly, then the photos taken with 100x zoom can be so clear, which is not the case.
