Digital blogger @ice universe revealed earlier this month that Samsung is preparing a firmware update for the Galaxy S23 Ultra that will introduce 2X Portrait mode.
According to the blogger’s follow-up tweet, Samsung is internally testing a firmware update with the suffix WE9 for the Galaxy S23 Ultra, with a size of 1.5GB. In the posted camera screenshots, you can see the 2X option.
WE9 may be Samsung’s upcoming firmware update in June. It was previously reported that @ice universe had previously stated: “Samsung is deeply optimizing the camera system of the Galaxy S23 Ultra. Samsung has changed its firmware update strategy this year and will update the camera. Significantly optimized, looking forward to the update in June.”
