But the biggest change is the design of OxygenOS 13. At the launch of the OnePlus 10T, the company spent about 30 minutes talking about OxygenOS 13 and focused a lot on the new design of the update. OnePlus usually releases two flagships per year, one in the first half of the year and the other in the second half, though the company did not release the second half of the interval in 2021.

OnePlus says that the 10T will come with the tagline “Evolution beyond speed,” although exactly what that means remains a mystery, as the only known upgrade right now is the processor. The invitation suggests that the device will have a similar design to the 10 Pro, possibly with a “sandstone” finish similar to the one found on the back of the first OnePlus One.

The launch event will take place on August 3 at 10 a.m. ET at Gotham Hall in New York City and will be streamed live on the company’s social media channels. Fans in the area can also attend the event in person, and tickets can be purchased today from “Red Cable Club” members through the OnePlus’ website, while others can purchase tickets for $25 on July 21.

As for devices getting the new software later this year, OnePlus will make the update available to its flagship 8 series (or later) phones as well as the Nord 2, Nord 2T, Nord CE, Nord CE 2, Nord CE 2, and Nord CE 2 Lite. The new 10T, while launching next month, will ship with Oxygen 12.1 at launch.
