It carried the small 24kWh and 30kWh batteries which weren’t assisted with the modern battery-protecting cooling technology. You may want to argue that the newer generation of Nissan Leaf did carry some upgrades like the 40kWh and 62 kWh batteries and the use of a motor that drew more power. However, all the technology inside these new generation cars was essentially very similar to that in the older generation models.
