Microsoft’s Bing chatbot has more and more functions. Recently, the tool has also been seamlessly integrated with Excel, which can improve users’ work efficiency.

When a Bing Chat answer contains a table of data, users will see an “Edit in Excel” button in the first row of the table. Clicking this button will export the data to the OneDrive document folder and open the Microsoft Excel web client, allowing users to edit the data.

Bing Chat’s Excel integration works not only on Microsoft Edge, but also on browsers like Apple Safari. In addition, users need to log in to a Microsoft account in the web browser using Bing Chat to successfully use this feature. If you are not logged in to a Microsoft account, you will be asked to log in when you try to open a data table in Excel web version.

In addition to convenient Excel integration, Microsoft is also testing a “rewrite” button in Bing chat to allow users to edit their prompts. When the prompt word is edited, Bing Chat will regenerate the answer accordingly. Not only can the last prompt word be edited, but all previous prompt words in the chat history can be edited. It’s worth noting that the chat history feature is currently only available in the Microsoft Edge browser.

Mikhail Parakhin, the head of Microsoft’s advertising and network services, tweeted a month ago to invite some Bing Chat users. Access the new “nosearch” feature.

Parakhin attached a picture to his previous tweet. When typing the question “Who is the current president of the United States?”, Bing Chat will disable Bing network search and directly feed back relevant results.

But since then, the official has not mentioned the follow-up of this function. When answering questions from netizens recently, Parakhin said that the function is currently being made into a plug-in, and it is expected that it will be open to users after completing relevant tests.

Parakhin still did not mention a specific release date in his tweet. It was previously reported that this feature was released in May this year, which means that users can instruct Bing Chat not to rely on the massive information from the Internet to answer questions, but to provide more accurate and relevant information that meets the user’s preferences and needs, and also It can solve some situations where web searches are unnecessary or invalid, allowing users to quickly obtain key queries or reference information, saving them the trouble of browsing potentially irrelevant search results.

Microsoft confirmed that it will relax the character limit in the consumer version and enterprise version of Bing chat. The current limit is 4,000 characters, but will increase to 8,000 characters in the future.

The change was announced on Twitter by Mikhail Parakhin, Microsoft’s vice president of search, who responded to a tweet from a user who said their company was using Bing Chat Enterprise and the only downside was the character limit. Parakhin said the character limit will expand, but not soon. He explained that the algorithm that drives Bing Chat is quadratic with context size, so increasing the limit to 8,000 characters would quadruple the cost.

In addition to increasing the character limit, Microsoft has made other improvements to Bing Chat. A plug-in for Bing Chat is now available, and an enterprise version will be released as a standalone product for $5 per user per month. Users of Microsoft’s Edge browser will also be able to use the command prompt in the Bing Chat sidebar to change browser settings. Additionally, Bing AI Chat is no longer exclusive to Edge and is available to users on other browsers such as Chrome and Safari.

According to foreign technology media Window’s Latest report, Microsoft’s iOS and Android versions of Bing Chat (Bing Chat) on the test “Continue on Phone” function, to ensure that users can seamlessly in the desktop and mobile and Bing chat.

Microsoft has invited a very small number of users to test the feature by clicking on the “Continue on Phone” pop-up window, which prompts them to “Scan the QR code to continue chatting in the Bing app on mobile” and is accompanied by a QR code.

If the user does not have the Bing app on their phone, they will be directed to install it. The report says the Continue on Phone feature is an alternative to existing historical chats and works in real time, without requiring users to sign in.

Citing tests conducted by the media outlet, even if the Bing app is already installed on the mobile device, scanning the QR code will still redirect users to the Play Store.

Microsoft’s Bing Blog published a blog post today, stating that it has enhanced map services for Bing Search and Bing Chat. The former helps you plan your destination route, and the latter reminds you of the way. Is there any danger?

Microsoft said in a blog post that when users chat with Bing, the content not only provides the optimal route to the destination but also displays the relevant route on the map.

In another blog post, Microsoft also stated that smartphone users accessing Bing Maps can display real-time traffic reports. Bing Maps will tell users if there is a traffic incident along their travel route, and users can go directly to the Bing Maps traffic URL or download the Microsoft Start app for Android and iOS to get the same information.

After months of testing, Microsoft has now officially added support for Bing AI on Google Chrome and other browsers, while Bing Chat Enterprise has also supported the Edge Mobile platform.

In fact, some Google Chrome users have been able to use Bing AI since late last month, but Microsoft didn’t say anything about it, and not everyone will be able to use it.

In the latest blog, Microsoft announced that Bing Chat has fully supported Chrome desktop browser, including Windows, Mac and Linux platforms, and Bing Chat and Bing Chat Enterprise will also support other browsers on desktop and mobile devices.

Bing Chat Enterprise differs from the standard version of Bing Chat in that Microsoft guarantees that the data it collects will not leak outside of the organizations that use it, and that the data will not be used to train external large-scale language models.

It’s also worth noting that Bing recently introduced a new search page design for specific topics, designed to provide a more organized layout by leveraging generative AI content, with the overall page becoming more streamlined, reducing content redundancy and maximizing space utilization.

Microsoft has also introduced support for Bing AI in SwiftKey, which users can now use up to 30 times a day without having to sign in to their account.

Last week, members of Microsoft’s Bing team confirmed that they were testing BingChat’s “No Search” feature with a small number of users, allowing them to disable access to Bing searches so that the chatbot doesn’t answer web search-based content.

The chatbot AI Bing Chat from Microsoft can talk to users and help them complete various tasks. Recently, the Bing Chat team has been constantly updating and optimizing the product to improve the chatting experience for users.

Last week, Bing Chat added better formatting for displaying mathematical formulas and also reduced the number of instances where Bing Chat would suddenly interrupt during a conversation. Bing Chat has released another major update that further reduces the probability of conversation interruptions.

Mikhail Parakhin, head of Microsoft’s Advertising and Web Services division, tweeted that the Bing Chat team “released an improvement today to reduce interruption rates”, saying that the update will “more than triple interruption rates in the most severe categories “This is a sign that the Bing Chat team has been working fast. This shows that the Bing Chat team has been rolling out updates quickly. However, there are some features that users have been waiting for for a long time that have not yet been addressed, one of which is the ability to save chat history. In addition, Parakhin has repeatedly hinted that Bing Chat will support third-party plugins.

Microsoft has recently added a much-anticipated feature to Bing Chat – Chat History, which allows users to access their previous chats. The feature is currently being tested by a small number of users, and should be open to users in the future.

Microsoft started inviting some users to test the feature on the 26th of this month, and today Microsoft officially relaxed the chat limit for all users. The number of conversations per round has been raised to 20, and up to 200 per day.

The Bing Chat preview was initially released without any limits on the number of chats per session or per day. But the service later had problems with long conversations that sometimes confused Bing Chat, causing it to produce some strange or rude responses. Microsoft then put a limit on the number of chats. The initial limit was 5 chats per session and 50 per day, and this limit was gradually increased.
