Lenovo has now announced that the CES 2023 virtual show will start on January 6, 2023. The company has also announced that it will be releasing a new generation of gaming Laptops and thin and light Laptops during CES.

It is expected that Lenovo’s new generation of gaming Laptops will be equipped with the 13th generation Core H and HX series, and the new generation of thin and light Laptops will be equipped with the 13th generation Core P and U series. According to Intel, the number of cores in the new generation of H-series 45W processors is expected to be the same as the previous generation, with a maximum of 6 large cores + 8 small cores. The 13-generation Core HX series is expected to be consistent with 13-generation Core desktop models, with a maximum of 8 large cores + 16 small cores.

Lenovo Legion just made an addition of three new models to the Y9000 gaming line-up. These additions are the Y9000X and the Y9000P, all of which come with the Intel Core i7-12700H processor. The Y9000X and Y9000P 2022 comes with the NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3070 graphics card.

Lenovo Legion Y9000X specifications and features

The Y9000X gaming laptop comes with a 16-inch FHD IPS display. This screen supports a 165Hz refresh rate, 5ms response time, and a 100% sRGB colour gamut. The processor on this device is the 12th generation Intel Core i7-12700H. Storage comes with 16GB/24GB of RAM and 512GB/1TB PCIe MVMe TLC SSD.

The operating system on this laptop is Windows 11 and supports Wi-Fi 6E for fast connection while gaming. The battery on this device comes with a 99.99Wh massive capacity. This capacity charges with a 135W fast charge, giving a full battery in little space of charging time. For the ports on this laptop, it comes with two USB-A, two USB Type-C, an HDMI 2.0, a display port, and a 3.5mm headphone jack.

The Legion Y9000P gaming laptop comes with a 16-inch screen supporting a 165Hz refresh rate. This laptop shared the same processor as the Legion Y9000X. It only comes with one storage option, the 16GB/32GB RAM and 512GB/1TB PCIe MVMe TLC SSD.

It also runs Windows and comes with support for Wi-Fi 6E fast connection. The battery capacity changes in comparison with the Y9000X. The Legion Y9000P comes with an 80Wh battery supporting 135W fast charging. The ports on this laptop remain the same as that found on the Y9000X.

Lenovo Legion Y9000X and Y9000P price and availability

The Legion Y9000X and Y9000P are both currently available for purchase via Lenovo Chinese website. They might launch in other regions, but at the moment it is only available in China. If it launches in other regions, it might come with a different name under the Legion line-up.

For pricing, the Lenovo Legion Y9000X will start at 10,499 yuan (~$1,567) for the 16GB memory. The larger memory will retail for 10,999 yuan (~$1,642). The Legion Y9000P comes with a price tag starting at 11,299 yuan (~$1,687).
