Today, vivo announced that iQOO 10, iQOO 10 Pro and vivo X80 Pro models are open to upgrade Android 13 Developer Experience Version.

Vivo said that the Android 13 Developer Experience version is only for developers and geek users, for normal users, we strongly recommend not to use it.

Developers can burn the downloaded developer experience version package firmware to the corresponding vivo device by following the steps below. The steps to manually burn the firmware to X80 Pro as an example are as follows.

1、Download the X80 Pro Developer Experience Package firmware.

2, the device is connected to the computer, switch the phone USB settings to file transfer mode, and copy the downloaded package firmware to the X80 Pro phone storage root directory.

3、Follow the above steps, click Upgrade Package in Settings->System Upgrade->Local Upgrade, and wait for the verification to complete to start the upgrade.

4、Wait for the phone to finish the upgrade automatically.

Vivo reminds that the current system version has more common three-party applications incompatible with Android 13, and the third-party applications may not work properly after upgrade (such as flashing, lagging, black screen, power consumption, etc.), so it is recommended to upgrade carefully.

In addition, if developers and geek users want to downgrade after upgrading to Android 13, they can refer to the official tutorial to go back to Android version 12, and need to use downgrade tools to downgrade.

On July 19, iQOO officially launched the iQOO 10 series phones, priced from RMB 3,699. The iQOO 10 series is fully equipped with the first generation Snapdragon 8+ mobile platform, bringing superior experience in performance, gaming, imaging, connectivity, etc. In addition to the brightest 200W fast charging, also through Qualcomm’s 5G DSDA technology (Dual-SIM Dual-Active (hereinafter referred to as DSDA), for the first time supports 5G dual-SIM dual-pass, allowing users’ primary and secondary cards to function simultaneously, greatly enhancing the user experience.

The vast majority of 5G phones on sale today are 5G dual card dual standby single pass solutions. Simply put, it can be compared to “single lane”: when the A card is in the call state, other users will not be able to dial the B card; when playing online games with the B card network, the A card accesses the phone, then the game will be disconnected. All of these affect the user’s work, life and entertainment experience.

The iQOO10 series uses the first generation Snapdragon 8+ mobile platform and Snapdragon X65 5G modem and RF system, which supports 5G dual card dual-pass technology for the first time, turning “single lane” into “dual-lane”, with A and B cards communicating independently, and B cards can continue to play online games or access phone calls while A cards are talking, without conflicting “occupied lines”, greatly enhancing the experience of 5G users.

Back in February of this year, Qualcomm successfully implemented the world’s first independent networking 5G+5G dual SIM dual-pass active network call and data connection. This test was achieved by Qualcomm, in conjunction with ZTE and Xiaomi, using a Xiaomi demonstration phone equipped with a Snapdragon 5G modem and RF system, using a concurrent connection to a ZTE network device.

At MWC Barcelona 2022, Qualcomm unveiled the Snapdragon X70, a 5th generation modem-to-antenna 5G solution. it introduces the world’s first 5G AI processor in a modem and RF system that supports 10Gbps 5G download speeds, extremely fast upload speeds, low latency, and superior The iQOO 10 series is equipped with the world’s first 5G AI processor in the modem and RF system. The iQOO 10 series is equipped with Snapdragon X65, which also supports 5G dual SIM functionality, meaning that 5GDSDA technology is starting to allow more consumers to enjoy a smooth and seamless connectivity experience.

In addition to dual SIM dual-pass technology, the iQOO 10 series uses the first generation Snapdragon 8+ mobile platform with an advanced 4nm process. Compared with the previous generation platform, Snapdragon 8+ mobile platform achieves a double breakthrough in performance and power efficiency: not only the comprehensive CPU performance is improved by 10%, the maximum main frequency of Cortex-X2 mega-core is increased to 3.2GHz; but also the GPU frequency is increased by 10% and power consumption is reduced by 30%. In terms of gaming performance, Snapdragon 8+ with enhanced LPDDR5 and overclocked UFS3.1, as well as the fourth generation Snapdragon Elite Gaming, supports multiple end-game level gaming features to fuel a better gaming experience.

In terms of imaging, Snapdragon 8+ supports Snapdragon Sight Snapdragon imaging technology with 18-bit Spectra triple ISP, and with the seventh-generation Qualcomm AI engine is supported by Snapdragon 8+ for a better all-scene imaging experience; in addition, the under-screen fingerprint uses Qualcomm’s 3D Sonic Max ultrasonic fingerprint sensor, which is Qualcomm’s largest, fastest and most secure sensor, which enables a fast and convenient unlocking experience and also brings top privacy and security for users.

With Qualcomm’s many technology enhancements, the iQOO 10 series has gained the experience of 5G dual SIM, immersive gaming, full-scene imaging, and quick unlock, making it undoubtedly one of the outstanding flagship phones of the moment. Qualcomm continues to empower many device manufacturers through the latest technologies, and also gives consumers a deep understanding of its premium image in terms of comprehensive experience.

BBK Electronics subsidiary Vivo is readying to welcome a new device from its spin-off, the iQOO 10 series. New leaks show the rather impressive design of this coming smartphone. From the leaks, there are two colours, Black, and White, and both feature a different dark colour scheme along with their camera module.

Asides from the colour and rear design of this smartphone, we have also been able to gather some information on what we can expect. In terms of specifications, Weibo blogger Digital Chat Station via his page gave some tips and bits on these devices’ specifications. Although his leaks are often very accurate, we must treat this as a leak until official specifications are made available.

iQOO 10 series

The iQOO 10 series standard edition is said to come with a 6.78-inch FHD 120Hz OLED screen. It also packs 12GB worth of LPDDR5 memory and a UFS 3.1 storage. There would also be a triple rear camera setup housing a 50MP main camera, 13MP ultra-wide camera, and a 12MP portrait camera.

At the moment, we can’t tell the exact processor that this series will use. Previously, our source Digital Chat Station referred to the Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 as the SoC of this series. He has made corrections to this now, pointing to the MediaTek Dimensity 9000+ processor to power the iQOO 10 series. According to his recent post, the new flagship processor from MediaTek has been tested.

Either processor this device will use, we know that it’d be a flagship level device. The pricing of this device might be similar to its predecessor and sit above the 4,700 yuan (~$700) price point. This series will launch as early as next month with a Pro model and a base model.
