Geekbench has now appeared with the Intel tentative release i9-13900H processor runtime information.

As you can see above, the i9-13900H is in a new generation of Samsung notebooks. The i9-13900H has 6 large cores + 8 small cores, 2.6GHz, 5.2GHz, and 24MB of Level 3 cache.

For comparison, the i9-12900H has 6 cores + 8 cores, up to 5GHz, and 24MB of Level 3 cache. The i9-13900H has a significantly lower score and is probably being debugged.

Intel is expected to release the 13th generation Core mobile processors at CES in early January next year, with the H series being a 45W TDP mobile processor and the HX series being a higher-end model with a 55W TDP. The number of cores is expected to be the same for the H-series 45W processors as for the previous generation, with a maximum of 6 large cores + 8 small cores. The 13-generation Core HX series is expected to be consistent with 13-generation Core desktop models, with a maximum of 8 large cores + 16 small cores.

Earlier today, Geekbench exposed a Samsung notebook equipped with i9-13900HK, and now the graphics card equipped with this notebook is also exposed.

As shown in the picture above, this Samsung notebook is equipped with i9-13900HK, equipped with 32GB of memory, the graphics card model is unknown, 36 computing units and 8GB of video memory. In terms of running points, this Nvidia graphics card has an OpenCL score of 102130, which is between the mobile platform RTX 3060 and RTX 3070.

Nvidia’s now-released RTX 4090 desktop graphics card has 16,384 CUDA cores, which were identified as 128 compute units on Geekbench, more than three times the number of this mobile processor.

At present, NVIDIA has not announced the release time of the RTX 40 series mobile graphics cards, which will be released at CES in January next year as usual.

The two high-end models of Intel’s 13th generation Core mobile processors, the i9-13900HK / i7-13700H, have now appeared on the Geekbench platform.

In terms of parameters, the two processors are still spec’d as 6 large + 8 small cores, with a maximum frequency not yet correctly identified and 24MB of Level 3 cache.

Judging from the size of the L2 cache, it appears that the cores of the 13th generation Core mobile processors follow the 12th generation Core Alder Lake, rather than the latest Raptor Cove architecture.

Intel is expected to unveil its 13th Gen Core desktop processors at 0:00 tonight, with possible mention of the 13th Gen Core mobile processors, which will most likely be announced at CES next January.

Here is the breaking information on the 13th Gen Core desktop processors.

  • i9-13900K / KF: 24 cores, 32 threads, 5.8GHz RWD, 125W base power, 253W max RWD
  • i7-13700K / KF: 16 cores, 24 threads, 5.4GHz RWD, 125W base, 253W max RWD
  • i5-13600K / KF: 14 cores, 20 threads, 5.1GHz RWD, 125W base, 181W max RWD

Intel is about to launch its 13th generation Raptor Lake processors, and now the high-end Core i9-13900HK and Core i7-13700H processors are available in the GeekBench score library. Intel’s 13th generation Raptor Lake mobile processor lineup is divided into 2 performance-oriented CPU branches, Raptor Lake-H55 and Raptor Lake HX SKUs.

The H55 parts will come in a mold configuration specifically designed for thin and light gaming notebooks, while the HX will have a similar mold configuration to the desktop. The H55 CPU will offer up to 14 cores and 20 threads, while the Raptor Lake-HX series offers up to 24 cores and 32 threads.

The leaked chips include the CoreT i9-13900HK and CoreT i7-13700H. Now, this is the first time we’ve seen the CoreT brand for a laptop CPU. Intel did announce that it would use a brand new naming convention for its entry-level chips, but not for the core. The CoreT SKU may be a TDP-optimized variant, or simply the Geekbench database doesn’t recognize the “TM” well.

The two chips have a total of 14 cores and 20 threads, and have 24 MB of L3 cache, while L2 cache is listed as 1.25 MB. Based on the amount of cache, it looks like this is the same Alder Lake chip, not a newer Raptor Lake chip, and there are no Raptor Cove cores that offer the increased L2 and L3 cache sizes. It’s also possible that the CoreT SKU is an update, and the standard core part will use Raptor Lake chips on it.

These CPUs are powered by Samsung 960XFH laptops with base clock speeds of 2.60 GHz (CoreT i9-13900HK) and 2.40 GHz (CoreT i7-13700H). The CoreT i9-13900HK runs at a boost frequency of up to 5.4 GHz, but averages around 4.1 GHz, while the CoreT i7-13700H maxes out at 5.0 GHz, but averages around 3.70 GHz. There is a huge difference between the maximum and average clock frequencies, which could suggest two things. The CPU is severely thermally limited, or these are engineering samples that haven’t been optimized in terms of clock management.
