According to the news of Honor Jiang Hairong and Ola Zhuwang, Honor’s new MagicBook 14 laptop will be released soon, and the key word of the new product is “Trident”.

According to Ola Zhuwang’s interpretation, the “trident” of Honor’s new MagicBook 14 laptop may refer to three warm-up messages. The first one should continue the long-life gene of the digital series, and the other two may be performance, screen or Honor’s traditional advantage is smart interconnection.

In May last year, Honor laptop MagicBook 14 2022 was officially released, equipped with Intel 12th generation standard pressure processor, the highest RTX2050 independent display, and this is the first thin and light laptop equipped with Honor OS Turbo technology, claiming that power consumption has dropped 39.6%, and the response speed increased by 17.9%.

It is expected that the Honor laptop MagicBook 14 2023 will be equipped with Intel’s 13th-generation Core processor, continues to use OS Turbo technology, and there may be greater improvements in power consumption and performance.

Intel will launch its mainstream-oriented B760 motherboards and 13th-generation Non-K CPUs on January 3, right around CES 2023. Intel’s 13th-generation Non-K CPU lineup is no longer a mystery. The lineup has been leaked a few times and confirmed by Microsoft and Gigabyte. We know that there are at least 20 SKUs in the works, including standard 65W parts, “F” (no iGPU) parts and “T” (35W TDP) parts.

The number of SKUs in Intel’s 13th generation Core Raptor Lake series.

  • i3-13100 = 3
  • i5-13400 = 3
  • i5-13500 = 2
  • i5-13600 = 4
  • i7-13700 = 5
  • i9-13900 = 5

While all of these chips will be compatible with Intel’s existing motherboards such as the Z790, Z690, H670, B660, and H610 series, Intel is also bringing a brand new chipset that will launch alongside them. This chipset will be called the B760 and will offer consumers a host of new features and added I/O support. Once again, the B760 chipset will target mainstream users and compete with AMD’s B650 chipset in the low to mid-range segment.

The outcome of the competition between Intel’s B760 and AMD’s B650 chipsets could be lopsided because of the higher cost of the B650 board, which could give Intel a huge advantage. Also, Intel has a wider selection of CPUs in the mainstream segment, and while AMD is reportedly developing its own mainstream ‘non-X’ chips, which seem more affordable compared to ‘X’ parts, it may be a bit difficult to offer a similar price/performance ratio to Intel’s Core i5 lineup in the sub-$300 and sub-$200 pricing ranges.

In addition, users who don’t want to upgrade to a new B760 motherboard can get an existing B660 motherboard for a cheaper price, or if they already have a B660 motherboard, they can just buy a CPU to complete the upgrade since the interface hasn’t changed.

Just yesterday, we talked about how a specific Intel B660 motherboard could provide some overclocking capability for Intel’s 13th generation Raptor Lake “unlocked” SKU. We will also definitely see some form of BCLK overclocking capability on the new B760 motherboards and Intel’s 13th generation Raptor Lake non-K class CPUs, but we will have to wait to see how well Intel supports that feature.

Just days after the Core i9-13900HX was revealed, another Intel Raptor Lake laptop CPU model has leaked, the Core i7-13700HX. It will be part of the 13th-generation high-end laptop CPU family. The HX series utilizes the same mold as the desktop Raptor Lake-S parts, so we’ll see a similar set of core configurations as well.

In the case of the Intel Core i7-13700HX, 16 cores are obtained using an 8 P-Core and 8 E-Core layout. That equates to a total of 24 threads, the same configuration as the current Core i7-13700K or the previous-generation Core i9-12900K/KS flagship. The CPU has 30MB of L3 cache, and on a Lenovo 82WQ laptop, we can see that the CPU has a base clock of 2.10 GHz and a turbo frequency of up to 5.0 GHz.

The laptop also has an NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3070 Ti Laptop GPU installed, meaning that most OEMs and laptop suppliers will still rely on existing GeForce RTX 30-series parts instead of waiting for NVIDIA’s next-generation RTX 40 GPUs, which The GPU is expected to be officially unveiled at CES in 2023.

A few months ago, Intel announced that they would release Raptor Lake mobile CPUs by the end of 2022. They didn’t mention whether the mobile lineup will include the Raptor Lake-H and Raptor Lake-HX SKUs, but it looks like we’ll get both at launch.

It is not known if the company will pair its own graphics cards with the new Raptor Lake mobile CPUs, but since Arc GPUs are mostly released around the same time as the Raptor Lake CPUs, it is expected that these GPUs will be used in mobile systems such as NUCs and laptop.

Once we were all about high processor frequencies, then we increased the number of cores, and now we can have both! With the improved Intel 7 manufacturing process and the new CPU architecture, Intel Raptor Lake 13 generation Cores are able to increase their frequency significantly, with up to 5.8GHz core acceleration and even E cores can be accelerated to 4.3GHz.

At one point we speculated that next year’s Gen 14 Core would break 6GHz or come with a special 6GHz version of the i9-13900KS, and we didn’t expect it to come so soon.

At the Innovation On Innovation conference, Intel’s CEO announced that a processor that can be shipped at a default frequency of 6GHz will be released early next year for a limited time.

Although no name was mentioned, it is apparently the i9-13900KS, which will have the same specifications as the i9-13900K except for frequency, and of course, will inevitably consume more power.

Intel has previously released two similar limited editions of extremely high frequency.

The i9-9900KS of the 10th generation Core has 8 cores and 16 threads, accelerates at up to 5GHz and consumes 127W.

The i9-12900KS of the 12th generation Core has 16 cores and 24 threads, accelerates up to 5.5GHz and consumes 150W base power and 241W maximum power.

The two high-end models of Intel’s 13th generation Core mobile processors, the i9-13900HK / i7-13700H, have now appeared on the Geekbench platform.

In terms of parameters, the two processors are still spec’d as 6 large + 8 small cores, with a maximum frequency not yet correctly identified and 24MB of Level 3 cache.

Judging from the size of the L2 cache, it appears that the cores of the 13th generation Core mobile processors follow the 12th generation Core Alder Lake, rather than the latest Raptor Cove architecture.

Intel is expected to unveil its 13th Gen Core desktop processors at 0:00 tonight, with possible mention of the 13th Gen Core mobile processors, which will most likely be announced at CES next January.

Here is the breaking information on the 13th Gen Core desktop processors.

Intel is about to launch its 13th generation Raptor Lake processors, and now the high-end Core i9-13900HK and Core i7-13700H processors are available in the GeekBench score library. Intel’s 13th generation Raptor Lake mobile processor lineup is divided into 2 performance-oriented CPU branches, Raptor Lake-H55 and Raptor Lake HX SKUs.

The H55 parts will come in a mold configuration specifically designed for thin and light gaming notebooks, while the HX will have a similar mold configuration to the desktop. The H55 CPU will offer up to 14 cores and 20 threads, while the Raptor Lake-HX series offers up to 24 cores and 32 threads.

The leaked chips include the CoreT i9-13900HK and CoreT i7-13700H. Now, this is the first time we’ve seen the CoreT brand for a laptop CPU. Intel did announce that it would use a brand new naming convention for its entry-level chips, but not for the core. The CoreT SKU may be a TDP-optimized variant, or simply the Geekbench database doesn’t recognize the “TM” well.

The two chips have a total of 14 cores and 20 threads, and have 24 MB of L3 cache, while L2 cache is listed as 1.25 MB. Based on the amount of cache, it looks like this is the same Alder Lake chip, not a newer Raptor Lake chip, and there are no Raptor Cove cores that offer the increased L2 and L3 cache sizes. It’s also possible that the CoreT SKU is an update, and the standard core part will use Raptor Lake chips on it.

These CPUs are powered by Samsung 960XFH laptops with base clock speeds of 2.60 GHz (CoreT i9-13900HK) and 2.40 GHz (CoreT i7-13700H). The CoreT i9-13900HK runs at a boost frequency of up to 5.4 GHz, but averages around 4.1 GHz, while the CoreT i7-13700H maxes out at 5.0 GHz, but averages around 3.70 GHz. There is a huge difference between the maximum and average clock frequencies, which could suggest two things. The CPU is severely thermally limited, or these are engineering samples that haven’t been optimized in terms of clock management.

Intel’s 13th generation Core desktop CPUs will be released next week, and now appear to have appeared on the Amazon UK store. Hardware tipster @momomo_us found a total of four SKUs and cut a picture, and those items are now off the shelves.

According to the list, the Intel Core i9-13900KF (the flagship model without integrated graphics) is priced at £750 (about RMB 5,842.50). This SKU is the only one currently listed with all 24 cores (8P+16E), pricing that is about £150 higher than when the i9-12900K was launched in the UK (about RMB 1168.50). This pricing is about £150 (~RMB 1168.5) higher than the i9-12900K when it was launched in the UK, and the current price of the i9-12900KF is about £609 (~RMB 4744.11).

It’s worth noting that the £750 price is about the same as the i9-12900KS (a special edition at 5.5GHz) on launch day.

In addition, the Intel Core i7-13700K is priced at £547 (~RMB 4261.13) and its F model is priced at £517 (~RMB 4027.43), which is expected to be priced £120-137 higher than the previous generation (i7-12700K is around £410 and i7-12700KF is around £397).

Finally, the 14-core SKU known as the i5-13600KF is priced at £350 (about RMB 2726.50), also higher than the current £273 (about RMB 2126.67) i7-12600KF.

These are most likely not the final prices for the 13th generation Core series in the UK, but just a placeholder. In addition, the fact that Amazon is starting to stock the new series so early may indicate that Intel will lift the pre-order embargo soon.

The sources say Intel’s 13th generation Core processors will be released in the early hours of September 28th, Beijing time, and will be available on October 20th, with the first listed models including the i9, i7, and i5 K-series models. 13 generation Core i9K models will be available for pre-order in China after the September 28th release, and after that, there seems to be a domestic launch on October 13th, when the i7K and i5K models will be available for pre-order. models will be available for pre-order.

In these years, Intel’s single-core performance has been very strong, Zen3’s Rex 5000 series has just caught up with the 11th generation Core, the new architecture of the 12th and 13th generation Core and all the way to the wild, Zen4’s Rex 7000 series is also hopeless to catch up. The latest flagship i9-13900K not only adds 8 small cores to reach 24 cores but also reaches an amazing maximum acceleration frequency of 5.8GHz, which is 300MHz higher than the ash version of the i9-12900KS.

PassMark has included four test scores of the i9-13900K, with an average single-core running score of 4833, 9.5% ahead of the i9-12900KS, setting a new record again.

The i7-13700 (without K) is also very fierce, with a single core running out of 4347 points, second only to the i9-12900KS, which has surpassed the i9-12900K/KF, and the i7-13700K is bound to be even more fierce.

In addition, the i5-13500 also exceeded 4000 points, which is basically the same grade as the i7-12700K/KF.

The frequency of the Ryzen 7000 series is not low. The Ryzen 9 7950X can accelerate to 5.7GHz by default, and it can reach 5.85GHz under extreme conditions, but from the current situation, the single-core performance is still not lower than the 13th generation Core.

In terms of multi-core performance, the i9-13900K got 54,433 points, about 18.7% higher than the 16-core Raider 9 5950X, depending on whether the Raider 9 7950X can pull it off.
