Huawei released its 2023 annual report today. The report shows that Huawei’s overall operating conditions are in line with expectations, achieving global sales revenue of 704.2 billion RMB and net profit of 87 billion RMB. The ICT infrastructure business remained stable, the terminal business performed in line with expectations, the cloud computing and digital energy businesses achieved good growth, and the smart car solutions business began to enter the large-scale delivery stage. The smart car solutions business achieved sales revenue of 4.7 billion RMB, a year-on-year increase of 128.1%.

Huawei attaches great importance to research and innovation. In 2023, its R&D investment will reach 164.7 billion RMB, accounting for 23.4% of its annual revenue. The cumulative investment in R&D expenses in the past ten years has exceeded 1.110 billion RMB.

Rotating Chairman Hu Houkun said: “The overall operating performance of the group in 2023 is in line with expectations. In the past few years, Huawei has experienced many tests and has continued to grow amidst challenges. In 2023, Huawei’s ICT infrastructure business achieved sales revenue of 362 billion RMB, a year-on-year increase of 2.3%; the terminal business achieved sales revenue of 251.5 billion RMB, a year-on-year increase of 17.3%; the cloud computing business achieved sales revenue of 55.3 billion RMB, a year-on-year increase of 21.9 %; the digital energy business achieved sales revenue of 52.6 billion RMB, a year-on-year increase of 3.5%; the smart car solutions business achieved sales revenue of 4.7 billion RMB, a year-on-year increase of 128.1%.

In 2022, Huawei will achieve sales revenue of 284 billion RMB in the operator business field, 133.2 billion RMB in sales revenue from Huawei’s enterprise business, and 214.5 billion RMB in sales revenue from the terminal business. The ICT infrastructure business maintained steady growth, the downward trend of the terminal business slowed down, the digital energy and Huawei Cloud businesses grew rapidly, and the competitiveness of smart car components and user experience improved significantly. Huawei’s cloud computing business continued to grow rapidly, achieving sales revenue of 45.3 billion RMB. Telecom revenue rose 0.9% to 284 billion RMB. Smart car solution components business revenue was 2.1 billion RMB.

Huawei continues to open up platform capabilities such as Hongmeng, Kunpeng, Ascend, and cloud services, optimizes the developer experience, supports ecological partners in all aspects, and cooperates with more than 9 million developers and more than 40,000 ecological partners.
