Samsung Galaxy S23 series has been released in the early hours of this morning, and now benchmark tests on the GPU performance of the new machine have been released and compared with the Galaxy S22 series with Exynos 2200 processor, and the results show that the GPU performance of Samsung’s new flagship has been significantly improved.

The software used for the tests was 3DMark Wild Life Extreme, which pushes GPU performance to its limits. The Samsung Galaxy S23 and S23+ scored 3,811 and 3,799 respectively, with an average frame rate of 20.80 for both phones, compared to the Galaxy S22+ with the Exynos 2200 SoC, which scored 1,689 and had an average frame rate of 10.10, giving the new flagship a relatively large lead.

The Samsung Galaxy S23 Ultra has an equally large lead over the Galaxy S22 Ultra, with the former scoring a maximum of 3874 points and reaching an average of 23.20 fps during the benchmark test, while the S22 Ultra scored 1912 points with an average frame rate of 11.40 fps.

The Samsung Galaxy S23 series is equipped with Samsung’s exclusive custom second-generation Snapdragon 8 mobile platform (for Galaxy), which not only increases the CPU main frequency to 3.36GHz but also its Adreno 740 GPU frequency from 680MHz to 719MHz. The Galaxy S22 series uses the Xclipse 920 GPU at 555MHz, a relatively large gap.

Samsung made a last-ditch attempt last year to partner with AMD on the RDNA2-based Xclipse GPU, but the strategy appears to have been ineffective, with the Exynos 2200 SoC and its Xclipse 920 GPU unable to compete with the second-generation Snapdragon 8 and the overclocked Adreno 740.

According to Sammobile, as the release of the Samsung Galaxy S23 series approaches, there are more and more revelations about the new phone.

According to whistleblower Ahmed Qwaider, Samsung may cancel the 128GB storage version of the Galaxy S23 series. The base versions of the Galaxy S23, Galaxy S23+, and Galaxy S23 Ultra all appear to have 256GB of storage, with the Galaxy S23 Ultra also coming in 512GB and 1TB storage versions.

In addition, the Galaxy S23 and Galaxy S23+ may come with 8GB of RAM and the Galaxy S23 Ultra will come with 12GB of RAM.

The leak claims that the Galaxy S23 Ultra will have a flatter display compared to its predecessor, a change that should improve the S Pen experience when writing and drawing on the screen. As for the system, all Galaxy S23 models will come with One UI 5.1, which is based on Android 13.

Posters for the Samsung Galaxy S23+ and Galaxy S23 Ultra have now been revealed, showing off some of the new models’ designs. The poster shows that the Samsung Galaxy S23+ has a pink logo color, while the Galaxy S23 Ultra has a green logo color.

According to previous reports, the Samsung Galaxy S23 Ultra will be equipped with a 3.36GHz high-frequency version of the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2, with a 6.8-inch 3088×1440p resolution OLED display and a built-in 5000mAh battery.

After the leaker Evan Blass (evleaks) shared the list of official protective cases for the Galaxy S23 series, the British technology media MobileFun once again shared the official protective cases for the Galaxy S23 and Galaxy S23+ models. Judging from the rendering of the protective case, these two models will use the same camera design as the Galaxy S23 Ultra, no longer using a raised overall camera module, but each independent camera unit.

Not everyone likes this kind of independent camera unit. Nicholas Sutrich, the editor of the foreign technology media Android Central, said when evaluating the Galaxy S22 Ultra that the independent camera unit will make more dust gather around the camera module. If the entire Galaxy S23 series adopts this design, it will definitely receive complaints from users.

Recent reports have revealed a lot of information about the upcoming Samsung Galaxy S23 series. Like the Galaxy S22 lineup, the S23 series is comprised of three devices, such as the Galaxy S23, the Galaxy S23 Plus, and the Galaxy S23 Ultra. TechGoing brings to you an exclusive image that showcases the hard cases for the Galaxy S23 trio in a single frame.

In the image, the hard cases for the Galaxy S23 Plus, Galaxy S23 Ultra, and Galaxy S23 can be seen from left to the right. The cases for the S23 and S23+ look the same, which means that the S23 Plus edition will just be a bigger version of the regular S23.

The case of the Samsung Galaxy S23 Ultra has two additional cutouts for the fourth camera and the laser autofocus unit. The image we’re showing here is just one more piece of evidence that the S23 series will look the same as the S22 series.

The Galaxy S23, S23+, and S23 Ultra have all been certified by the 3C authority of China. The 3C certification is a good hint that the Galaxy S23 series may debut earlier than the S22 series. A South Korean publication recently said that the S23 lineup might come out in time for the shopping season at the end of the year.

Rumors are rife that the Galaxy S23 trio will retain most of the specs that were made available on the S22 series. The only major change to the S23 lineup will be the inclusion of the upcoming Snapdragon 8 Gen 2. Also, the Galaxy S23 Ultra will be Samsung’s first phone to feature a 200MP camera.

Samsung Galaxy S23 lineup is hovering around the corner and is getting nearer to the launch every day. By the time we are heading towards the launch, we are getting new leaks and rumours regarding the forthcoming smartphones. The design and renders of the whole lineup were previously leaked and now the complete specifications of the Galaxy S23 lineup have been leaked.

Samsung Galaxy S23 specifications leaked; what’s new?

The Galaxy S23’s specifications have been summarised by well-known leaker Yogesh Brar, and they all point to 8GB of RAM and 128/256GB of storage. The new model will have a larger 3,900mAh battery than the S22 but not the S21 or S20, therefore larger in comparison to the S22. Additionally, it will continue to support 15W wireless and 25W wired charging. When it comes to the charging rates of their smartphones, especially the smaller versions, both Samsung and Apple have been quite cautious.

The new phone will also contain a 10MP selfie camera, 12MP ultra wide-angle, and 10MP telephoto lenses, as well as a 50MP main camera (with OIS). It appears to be the same as the S22 cameras, albeit new sensors and optics may be used. Thanks to the more potent chipset, new processing will undoubtedly be required.

The phone will finally have a 6.1″ Dynamic AMOLED 2X display, which will still have a 1,080 x 2,340px resolution and not be LTPO. That is at least what the rumours claim. The bezels will allegedly be a few thousandths of a millimetre thicker, according to Ice Universe. End the end, all this stands out to be rumours and leaks. Let’s wait for an official announcement for more information.

As the second half of the year approaches, more and more information about the Samsung Galaxy S23 series is being revealed. Today, digital blogger @DigitalChat has revealed some of the configurations of the Galaxy S23.

The Samsung Galaxy S23 battery is rated at 3785mAh, with a typical value of 3900mAh±, and features a 6.1-inch 1080P flexible straight screen.

The Samsung Galaxy S23 (SM-S9110) and Galaxy S23+ (SM-S9160) passed the 3C certification on September 25, and the certification shows that the new models still come with the same 25W charger as their predecessors.

The previously revealed renders show the Samsung Galaxy S23 measuring approximately 146.3 x 70.8 x 7.6 mm, with a separate camera arrangement similar to the Galaxy S22 Ultra, without the “bezel” of the camera module compared to the previous Galaxy S22.

The Galaxy S23 also features a 6.1-inch center-punched display and is expected to feature a 12MP front-facing camera. The Samsung Galaxy S23 is also expected to be powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 processor, with more RAM and a larger battery.

The blogger Digital Gossip Station broke the news that the Samsung Galaxy S23 battery capacity is rated at 3785mAh. as a small screen flagship, the Galaxy S23 has a small improvement over the previous generation Galaxy S22 (Galaxy S22 battery is 3700mAh), but the gap with the competitor Xiaomi 12S is obvious, with a rear battery capacity of 4500mAh.

According to the news, the Galaxy S23 is the smallest of the three Samsung models, with a 6.1-inch screen and three dimensions of 146.3 x 70.8 x 7.6mm, which is comparable to the Galaxy S22 and is stress-free to operate with one hand.

At its core, the Samsung Galaxy S23 is powered by the flagship Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen2 processor. Compared to the Snapdragon 8 powered by the previous Galaxy S22, the Snapdragon 8 Gen2 used in the Galaxy S23 is a significant upgrade.

For starters, the Snapdragon 8 Gen2 is based on a 4nm process from TSMC and will feature a new “1+2+2+3” architecture, with the mega-core being upgraded to Cortex X3, the big core being upgraded to Cortex A715 and the small core remaining the same as the Cortex A510.

The Snapdragon 8 Gen2 will have a 2.84GHz mega-core, 2.4GHz large-core and 1.8GHz small-core, and an Adreno 740 GPU, with a possible 1.2 million points.

The device will debut in Q1 2023.

Today, according to blogger i Ice Universe, Samsung may still release the Exynos version of the Galaxy S23 series in some markets (Samsung’s mobile division has reportedly expressed its displeasure with this). The news is that the Samsung Galaxy S23 series is available in Snapdragon 8 Gen2 and Exynos 2300 versions, with the Snapdragon 8 Gen2 version accounting for over 70% of the total and the Exynos 2300 version accounting for less than 30%.

This means that even if Samsung does have an Exynos 2300 version of the Galaxy S23 series, it will only be available in a very small number of markets, probably only for European users, with the country version most likely being the Snapdragon 8 Gen2 version.

Details about the Exynos 2300 are unknown at the moment, it should be OEM’d by Samsung itself and is expected to feature a Cortex X3 mega core, Cortex A715 large core and Cortex A510 small core with an integrated AMD GPU.

It is worth noting that the Exynos version of the Galaxy S22 series had been trolled by users due to the poor performance of the previous generation Exynos 2200.

It is reported that in March this year, many users found that the Galaxy S22 series equipped with the Exynos 2200 flagship processor would sometimes run slowly, press answer when a call came without any response, and the GPS also often gave errors.

Specifically, many users reported that when they opened Google Maps, the phone would say “GPS not found” and the bug persisted even after factory settings were restored.

The problem occurs with the Exynos version, while the Snapdragon 8 version, which was launched at the same time, has no problem, which means that the problem has a lot to do with the Exynos 2200 chip. As for how the Exynos 2300 performs, we’ll see how it performs when the new product is released.
