Blogger @i Ice Universe recently posted a frame comparison of the three generations of Samsung Galaxy S24 Ultra / S23 Ultra / S22 Ultra.

▲ Picture source blogger @i Ice Universe, the same below

From the picture, the appearance of the Galaxy S24 Ultra is more square, and the middle frame is very close to a right-angled edge design, which also makes the screen borders on the left and right sides look wider. Another obvious change is that the chin of the new phone is narrower, almost achieving a visual equilateral effect.

Prior to this, blogger @iICE Universe also shared a set of Samsung Galaxy S24 Ultra / S23 Ultra real machine comparison photos on Weibo, showing the appearance details of this new machine.

As you can see from the picture, the titanium alloy frame of the Galaxy S24 Ultra has a good texture, the buttons are flatter and thicker, the vents at the bottom of the phone are moved to the top, the speakers become long strips, and the bottom of the S Pen also looks slimmer.

In terms of configuration, the Galaxy S24 Ultra model is expected to be equipped with a Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 for Galaxy processor, a QHD+ display, a titanium alloy frame, a built-in 5000mAh battery, support 45W charging power, and a 200MP +12MP +50MP +10MP lens.

Samsung introduced the super vision night shooting system (Nightography), which can take vivid and highly optimized photos at night. The system can reduce noise and blur in the picture, and make night photos look clearer through AI multi-frame processing.

Samsung says the innovative AI multi-frame processing of the Ultra Vision Night Shot system in the OneUI system combines 30 images into one epic shot, optimizing the color and detail of each pixel. So, if you’re in a low-light environment, the Super Vision Night Shot system is the best camera setup to take great low-light images.

But not all Samsung models support Nightography, all models that support this feature are listed below:

Samsung is preparing to launch the upcoming Samsung Galaxy S23 series of smartphones. The Galaxy S23 series will land in the market as the company’s flagship lineup for 2023. The lineup will include the Galaxy S23, Galaxy S23+ and Galaxy S23 Ultra. The Galaxy S23 Ultra has been said to offer a 200-megapixels primary camera. Now, the design and dimensions of the device have been leaked.

Samsung Galaxy S23 Ultra; Here’s how it might look

It has been said that the upcoming Samsung Galaxy S23 Ultra will retain the rectangular design pattern of its predecessor. According to the known tipster  Ice universe, the next Ultra will be 0.1mm or 0.2mm wider but retain the 8.9mm thickness, the 5,000mAh battery, and the 6.8-inch 1440x3088px display.

The Galaxy S22 Ultra’s boxier shape worked well for it because it allowed for the retention of the large battery and the integration of an integrated S Pen. The Galaxy S23 Ultra will have more major software and hardware updates, including a new CPU that is currently expected to be a Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 and a future OneUI 5.

Previous reports also stated that 200-megapixel sensors in a 7:3 ratio are being produced by Samsung Electro-Mechanics and Samsung Electronics. The supply chain will then probably open up to other component suppliers to make room for low-end phones with 200-megapixel cameras. The Galaxy S22 Ultra’s current 108-megapixel cameras will likely be significantly improved by a 200-megapixel camera. A 108-megapixel camera currently has the most pixels on a sensor.

There were reports that shoppingmode Samsung was cancelling production of the Galaxy S22 FE and possibly ending this slightly awkward series in the lineup in the future. Fortunately, a later update was received that the competitively priced series will continue to be released, just not this year, as Samsung had to focus its resources on increasing production of the Galaxy S22 Ultra. Expect shoppingmode Samsung to still push for a Galaxy S23 FE release, but that’s something that won’t happen until 2023.

The Galaxy S22 Ultra has been a huge success since its launch earlier this year in February, with annual sales expected to reach around 11 million units. To ensure a steady supply of flagships, Samsung had to make some compromises, and that was to cancel the Galaxy S22 FE. The manufacturer had planned to mass produce about 3 million units of this cost-effective sub-flagship. Unfortunately, the company faces a conundrum as chip supply is already tight this year.

Instead of betting on a product that could fail due to a chip shortage, shoppingmode Samsung decided to take a smarter approach and increase production of the Galaxy S22 Ultra, which is already performing well and has become the company’s best-selling smartphone this year.

As many consumers now know, the Galaxy S22 Ultra is powered by either the Exynos 2200 or Snapdragon 8 Gen 1, both built on shoppingmode Samsung’s 4nm architecture, however, both SoCs have shown disappointing results on multiple fronts. If Samsung uses Snapdragon 8 Plus Gen 1 on the Galaxy S22 FE, a chipset built on TSMC’s superior 4nm technology, sales of the Galaxy S22 Ultra could suffer as consumers will know they are getting a superior performance SoC instead when they buy a less expensive flagship.

With the Galaxy S23 FE arriving in the second half of next year, shoppingmode Samsung is reportedly planning to produce 3 million units, and the Exynos 2300 in the Galaxy S23 FE could stick to the 3nm GAA chip manufacturing process, for which Samsung will try to achieve better yields, while improving performance and power efficiency. Higher yields mean Samsung won’t face a chip supply crunch, which will translate into higher sales if it launches the Galaxy S23 FE early like it did with the Galaxy S20 FE.

2021 was supposed to be the 10th birthday of the Galaxy Note series, but unfortunately, that day never came. The S Pen has been an iconic element of the Galaxy Note series since its introduction as a tablet phone in 2011. But unfortunately, with the Galaxy S22 Ultra offering S Pen support, it seems the era of the beloved productivity-centric phone has finally come to an end.

The Galaxy Note series is more like Samsung’s rebellious response to the iPhone and the late Steve Jobs himself. It had everything the iPhone didn’t have, and everything Steve Jobs rejected: a huge screen (at least by the standards of the time) and, most importantly, a stylus that other smartphones tried to get rid of.

History will prove that Samsung was right, with many of today’s models featuring the so-called tablet phone size of yesteryear. While the Galaxy Note’s S-Pen remains somewhat unique, the desire for a mobile stylus has never gone away, even among some of Apple’s own fans.

Fortunately, the features that make up the DNA that defines the Galaxy Note aren’t going away …… even if you won’t see a new Galaxy Note phone for years to come.

Leading tipster @i Ice Universe broke the news that TM Roh, head of Samsung’s mobile division, said the Galaxy Note will come out every year as the Galaxy S Ultra. The immediate implication here is that there will be no more Galaxy Note models in the future. It also implies that the Galaxy S Ultra model will retain the same form factor and features as the Galaxy Note, just like the Galaxy S22 Ultra released in 2022.

In terms of functionality, this basically means that Galaxy S Ultra models will continue to carry the S-Pen inside them, a design change that started with this year’s Galaxy S22 Ultra, which had no room for a stylus inside compared to the previous Galaxy S21 Ultra generation.

The same oversized phone distinguishes itself from the Galaxy S22 and Galaxy S22+ with its square design, similar to the latest Galaxy Note models. Whether this design will continue to evolve remains unknown, but the exact look of the Galaxy Note has never been its defining feature.
