]]> According to new reports, the Samsung Galaxy S23 series is going to drop off using the Exynos processor. The last generations of Samsung flagship devices have made provision for two variants. One will use a Snapdragon flagship processor and the other will use a Samsung Exynos processor. 

These two processor variants provide different performances, with the Snapdragon option prevailing. Providing a Samsung flagship with a less powerful processor (Exynos) and selling it in a certain region is bad for Samsung’s name. The Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 on the S22 series has a 70% dominance as against the Exynos 2200.

These figures will change for the Samsung Galaxy S23 series. With this line-up, Snapdragon’s next-gen flagship processor will be the sole supplier. This switch will help Snapdragon’s next-gen processor gain more ground in the Android market. It might as well help boost the sale of the Samsung Galaxy S23 series due to performance improvement.

The coming Qualcomm processor to be in use on the S23 series will use TSMC 4nm fabrication process. It’d also bring notable performance upgrades since it’d undergo optimization to fit TSMC’s design rule. We’ll wait to see how this switch will play out for Samsung in terms of overall performance. This doesn’t mean that the Korean company is killing the production of its next-gen Exynos processor.
