YouTube channel Moore’s Law Is Dead shared more news about the RDNA4 flagship graphics card in the latest video and stated that AMD has canceled all release plans for Navi41 and Navi42.

The news shared the side view of Navi4C and said that the series includes AIDs, SEDs and MID three dies, which are huge improvements compared to RDNA3.

MLID means that Navi4C is equipped with at least 3 active interposers (Active Interposers, which handle routing data between the top dies) on a single package layer, and adopts a 3D architecture.

Each active interposer encapsulates 3 Shader Engine Dies (SEDs), thus implementing 9 SEDs. 1 MID (Multimedia and I/O Die) can also be seen on the left side of the structure.

MLID said that AMD plans to add Infinity Cache/memory controller chip dies to RDNA4, with 7 chiplets on RDNA3 and 13-20 chiplets on RDNA4.

According to reports, AMD will release Navi44 in mid-2024, which is expected to use a 6nm process; Navi43 will be released in 2025, which will use a 3nm process node, allowing more CUs to be packaged in a smaller volume.

Reliable whistleblower “All The Watts” today exposed AMD’s new RX 7500 desktop graphics card.

As shown in the figure above, RX 7500 has 28CU, equipped with 8GB 16Gbps video memory, the video memory interface should be 128bit, and the power consumption is 130W.

According to an earlier report, AMD’s RX 7600, which started selling at 2149 CNY not long ago, uses a 6nm process Navi 33 XL GPU, equipped with 32 CUs, 8GB 18Gbps GDDR6 with a 128bit bit width, and a power consumption of 165W.

From the specifications, the RX 7500 has the same number of CUs as the RX 6600 and should be used to replace the RX 6600. Currently, the price of the RX 6600 is around 1499 CNY and the price of the RX 7500 should be slightly higher.

The NVIDIA RTX 40 series has been released, can the AMD RX 7000 series be far behind? 3D artist Technetium has created a few beautiful multi-angle renders of the RX 7900 XT (tentative name) based on the official disclosures, and they look pretty cool.

Official Images

While the RX 7000 series will continue the overall design style of the last two generations, but in a more subdued, almost pure black tone, Technetium has added a die of red at the top and a bright strip of lights above and below the central one of the three fans on the front.

Unlike the RTX 40 series which uses the new PCIe 5.0 16-pin auxiliary power supply, the RX 7000 will still be a traditional PCIe power supply with up to three possible 8-pin connectors and a total power supply capacity of 450W.

In addition, this may be AMD’s thickest graphics card ever, visually at least 3 slots or even 3.5 slots – the RTX 4090 FE male card has 3.5 slots.

Even so, AMD has long claimed that the RDNA3 has superb energy efficiency, compared to the already excellent RDNA2 again improved by 50%.

The RX 7900 XT will be based on the multi-chip package Navi 31 core, with 12,288 stream processors, with up to 24GB GDDR6 memory.

PS: Technetium has produced many similar renderings, graphics cards, motherboards, boxes and whatnot are very good at it.
