System76 upgrade Lemur Pro Linux Laptop with Intel’s 13th Generation Core CPU and DDR5 Memory

Linux hardware vendor System76 today announced an updated version of its portable Lemur Pro Linux laptop with updated internals and a larger battery.

2023 New Lemur Pro Linux Laptop with 13th Generation Intel “Raptor Lake” Processors, Intel Core i5-1335U and Intel Core i7-1355U, with 10 Cores, 12 Threads, 12MB Cache and Intel Iris Xe Graphics, Up to 40GB DDR5 4800MHz memory, 73Wh lithium-ion battery, promises up to 14 hours of battery life.

2023 Lemur Pro features a 14.1-inch FHD (1920×1080) display with a matte finish and 180-degree hinge, multi-touch trackpad, backlit standard keyboard, Wi-Fi 6E wireless, Bluetooth 5.3, Thunderbolt 4 ports, up to 8TB PCIe 4.0 storage and 1080p full HD webcam.

The Lemur Pro also features a black magnesium alloy chassis, weighs 2.54 pounds (1.15 kilograms), and also supports USB Type-C chargers.

Like all of System76’s Linux laptops, the new Lemur Pro comes preloaded with Pop!_OS 22.04 LTS or Ubuntu 22.04 LTS, System76 Open Firmware (Coreboot, EDK2, System76 Firmware App), and System76 Open Source Embedded Controller Firmware.

Equipped with the 13th generation Intel Core i5-1335U chip, 8GB DDR5 memory and 250GB SSD storage, the basic configuration version is priced at $1,149; equipped with the 13th generation Intel Core i7-1355U chip, 40GB The high-end configuration version of DDR5 memory and 8TB SSD storage is priced at $2,583.
