SteamOS 3.5 will bring screen color temperature adjustment to Steam Deck handhelds

Valve will add a new feature for Steam Deck users to adjust the color temperature of the screen in the upcoming SteamOS 3.5 update. This feature allows users to adjust the warmth or coolness of the colors displayed on the device screen according to their preferences.

The setting of screen color temperature provides a series of options, allowing users to try different degrees of color temperature changes. Here’s the difference between the default 7500K color temperature and turning it up to 11000K (using the default color vibrancy):

Currently, setting the color temperature of the screen is only available in the Main + Steam Deck Beta update channel. To use this feature, users must enable the developer mode and select the advanced update channel in the developer menu in the settings. The Beta update channel is frequently updated and may contain major bugs, so use it with caution. Users are advised to use the normal Steam Deck Stable/Beta update channel.

It is worth mentioning that SteamOS 3.5 will also introduce a color saturation setting.
