The SteamDB database shows that Steam Deck has now reached another important milestone, with more than 7,000 games available for the platform, including 4,419 “playable” and 2,709 “verified” games.
Steam Deck is different from other recent consoles in that while Steam has a large library of games, it is truly a unique product in that it is neither a Windows nor an Android platform, but a Linux-based SteamOS platform.
So, the huge number of PC games in Steam cannot be confirmed as 100% runnable, and now Valve is working to get as many games as possible guaranteed to run.
These 7,000 games are not all playable games, there are still many games that have not yet been tested and certified, but in fact, there are still many titles in the Steam library that work well on Linux and Steam Deck, Valve just hasn’t found them all yet.
