Leaked photos reveal RTX 4090 3DMark TSE scores doubled compared to RTX 3090

Despite being requested by Nvidia, TechPowerUp has introduced a design in the new version of the CPU-Z tool software to prevent the sneaking away of engineering sample GPUs. However, according to the screenshot of 3DMark “Time Spy” exposed on the Chiphell forum by @FireworksYiliang, we still saw the GeForce RTX 4090 flagship gaming graphics card with a frequency of 3 GHz and has not yet been officially released.

Although the leaked photos were quickly removed, @FireworksYiliang still said – “It’s not a few days anyway, just wait for the press conference.”

In terms of specifications, the GeForce RTX 4090 is expected to enable 128 groups / 16384 CUDA cores in 144 groups of SM units, supplemented by 96MB L2 cache + 384 ROP raster units.

In terms of video memory, the RTX 4090 should be a 384-bit @ 24G 21Gbps GDDR6X particle with a bandwidth of up to 1 TB/s (same as the RTX 3090 Ti).

In terms of power consumption, although a 16-pin connector that supports up to 600W is used, it is said that the nominal TBP is 450W, and the TGP is expected to be lower than this value.

Going back to the 3DMark revelations, the RTX 4090 is said to have an idle temperature of 30°C and a load of 65°C – and the GPU frequency exceeds 3.0 GHz (3015 MHz to be exact).

It is speculated that the card may be related to the three-fan engineering sample exposed a few days ago. Although we are not sure whether it runs in the default or OC mode (the former is more likely), the leaker revealed that the radiator may not play a role. All out.

The final 3DMark “Time Spy Extreme” score was as high as 20192 – directly double the RTX 3090 and 80% higher than the RTX 3090 Ti.

For non-public SKUs with stronger power supply and heat dissipation, it may be able to be pushed to a more extreme level in the OC mode of 500W+.

Finally, Nvidia may announce the RTX 40 series Ada Lovelace consumer graphics cards later this month at the GTC 2022 conference.

However, referring to the tradition of the green factory, the RTX 4090 is expected to be exclusive for a period of time after it goes on the market on October 22. As for the RTX 4080/4070 SKUs that gamers are more looking forward to, it may not be until early 2023.
