Sources say Samsung will return to the Russian market in October

0

According to informed Russian media, Samsung is expected to return to the Russian market within the year, after the company suspended sales in Russia for up to six months due to the Russian-Ukrainian conflict. It is understood that Samsung is expected to resume the supply of devices to retailers and the opening of the official online store in October.

Samsung suspended shipments in early March 2022, citing “geopolitical developments”. As of the fourth quarter of 2021, Samsung had 30 percent of the Russian market share and was the leading supplier of cell phones in Russia.

A Samsung spokesman declined to respond to the incident.

Phoenix Technology has learned that in addition to Samsung resuming shipments in Russia since the Russian-Ukrainian conflict, Russian Trade and Industry Minister Denis Manturov has previously said that the Russian people will also have the opportunity to buy the new Apple iPhone 14 series.
