Sony released the Xperia 1 V on May 11 last year. According to the latest news, the Japanese company plans to continue almost the same release rhythm in 2024. A poster exposed by Weibo user @zackbuks shows that Sony will hold an Xperia new product launch conference on May 17.
It is noticed that the poster itself did not reveal which phone will be unveiled at the conference, but it is widely speculated that one (or the only one) will be the Xperia 1 VI, which has been frequently exposed recently.
The blogger also previously revealed that the Xperia 1 VI will abandon the 4K screen and 21:9 ultra-long screen aspect ratio, adopting a more industry-standard solution. Therefore, the Xperia 1 VI will be slightly wider than its predecessor. In addition, the new phone will be equipped with the exact same rear camera module as the Xperia 1 V, which will only be improved through software processing and may use some AI functions.
In addition, the Xperia 1 VI should be powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 processor paired with at least 12GB of RAM.
