Blogger @zackbuks recently brought the latest news about Sony’s new machine, which is expected to come from the upcoming Xperia 1 VI.

The blogger revealed that the screen ratio of Sony’s new phone has been changed from 21:9 to about 19.5:9, the resolution has been reduced from 4K to 2K+, and the overall width has become wider. The design concept has not changed and is still in line with the previous generation. He also said that the schematic diagram is “not authentic” and any similarity is purely coincidental. The global release date is probably still in May.

In addition, the blogger posted “Xperia 5 Series, R.I.P 2024” early this morning, implying that Sony will not launch the Xperia 5 series of mobile phones this year.

According to previous reports, Sony’s previous generation Xperia 1 V was released in May 2023, priced from 8,999 RMB. The machine uses a 6.5-inch 21:9 4K (3860×1644) non-perforated screen, supports real-time HDR technology, and the front stereo hidden dual speakers are upgraded to full-band units. In addition, the machine is also equipped with Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 processor, built-in 5000mAh battery, and supports 33W PD3.0 fast charging, Qi wireless charging, etc.

Xperia 1 V uses IMX888 main camera (24mm, 1/1.35, 52MP full aspect ratio, 48MP effective pixels, 12MP static output, 2.24um pixel size, F1.9), using the new Exmor T double-layer transistor pixel stack image sensor.
