Sony released the C-80 capacitive microphone, the main vocal recording, priced at 3990 yuan.

Sony said that the new product continues Sony’s classic microphone masterpiece C-800G and C-100 high-quality pickup technology, with excellent sound quality and stable noise reduction performance, including rich details, and dynamic wide, mellow vocals. In non-professional studio conditions, the C-80 can also be used for broadcasters, video dubbing workers and musicians in different fields of sound creators, faithfully presenting a clear and stable, mellow vocal recording effect.

In terms of parameters, the new C-80 is equipped with a large-diaphragm condenser microphone with a diameter of about 1 inch, drawing on the structure of the previous generation C-100 pickup head and the same diaphragm material as the C-800G, which is known as the legendary generation in the industry, combined with a cardioid directional design, high sensitivity, and can easily include the subtle performance of sound. The dual-diaphragm design of the pickup head effectively suppresses distortion caused by changes in sound with distance, making the recording effect more stable. In addition, the C-80 microphone uses the same split structure as the classic C-800G to suppress the microphone’s inherent bottom noise for clearer sound. Thanks to the “low-cut function” and “constant value attenuation (PAD)” function, the C-80 can effectively reduce the interference of small noise and improve the sound distortion that may be caused by high volume.

Sony C-80 condenser microphone is now available for pre-order on Sony’s website.
