The PS VR1 sold more than 5 million units over its lifetime, and Sony’s chief financial officer said there’s a good chance the PlayStation VR2 will surpass that number. Compared to the original PlayStation VR, PlayStation VR2 sales were up 8% six weeks after launch.

According to Hiroki Totoki, executive vice president and chief financial officer of Sony earlier, sales of this VR device are likely to exceed those of the previous generation, with PlayStation VR1 selling 5 million units at the end of 2019.
