Sony firmware upgrade notice for FX6 and CineAltaV 2 cameras, enhance shooting performance

Sony will release Ver.4.00 firmware for the full-frame cinema camera FX6 and Ver.2.10 firmware for the 8K flagship movie camera CineAltaV2. At the same time, CineAltaV 2 will also launch a firmware update Ver.3.00 with richer content in early 2024. The new firmware enhances the shooting performance of the two cinema cameras and broadens the application scenarios.

Attached is the firmware update content:

 FX6 Ver.4.00: Added functions such as anamorphic lens de-squeeze display and autofocus in S&Q mode; de-squeeze display function has 1.3x and 2.0x selectable modes, can be used for HDMI output and viewfinder The displayed image matches the corresponding anti-squeeze ratio; the autofocus function in S&Q mode can increase the autofocus to 7fps or higher in S&Q (slow and fast) mode; supports Cine EI Quick, so that FX6 has the same Same production workflow for FX30 and FX3 cinema cameras.

 CineAltaV 2 Ver.2.10: Optimized the settings of the sensor mode menu. When the sensor mode is 3:2 aspect ratio, under the "Scale to fit" menu, a new option of 2.39:1 is added,

 CineAltaV 2 Ver.3.00: Support new external frame line generator tool import/export function, improved high frame rate mode, can shoot at 90 fps with 2x anamorphic lens; added new 33.333 variable frame rate at 50Hz Realize anti-flicker function; support for standard lighting and LED volume mixed production, improve the color fidelity of in-camera movie special effects; improve drawing menu and RM / RCP control, support for saturation, skin details, white balance and shutter, etc. Adjustment of settings; 3D-LUT selection function is supported when RCP/RM drawing control is turned on.
