Sonnet launched RackMac Studio and xMac Studio Rackmount Enclosure Accessories

0

While Apple has built Mac Studio to be quite compact, not all customers need to put it on their desktops to use it. To make this high-performance device work better in a rack, Sonnet has just introduced the Rack Mac Studio and xMac Studio enclosure accessories. The former is a 3U enclosure that holds two Mac Studio workstations in a single rack. Users have easy access to the front C-port and card reader, complemented by a rather crisp cable management design.

The xMac Studio is a slightly different design, with a Mac Studio bay and a feature-rich Thunderbolt 4 storage/connectivity bay for the other half of the case.

In addition, the xMac Studio Echo I leaves half of the case reserved for Mac Studio workstations and the other half provides a PCI-Express x16 adapter that provides ample cooling space for full-sized graphics cards.

The xMac Studio Echo III then upgrades the number of PCIe slots to three, supporting one x16 and two x8 splits.

For more flexible customization space, Sonnet also offers the xMac Studio Echo Zero option without the other half of the add-on module.

Finally, the RackMac Studio will be available on October 23rd, priced at $450 / $550 (about 3122 / 3815 RMB) for the moduleless Echo Zero.

The xMac Studio Echo III will be available on September 25, priced at $1,650 / $1,250 ( RMB 11,446 / 8,671 ) for the Echo I.
