Sony SIE recently announced that it will stop some PS4 / Pro consoles and PS VR after-sales service.

It is reported that the PlayStation 4 CUH-2100 (Note: PS4 Slim model) series has stopped the after-sales service of the product at the end of October, Sony also claimed that it will stop the after-sales service of the PlayStation 4 Pro CUH-7100 series of consoles, PlayStationVR CUH-ZVR1, and PlayStation 4 Pro CUH-7100 series of consoles from December 20th, 2023 ‘s after-sales service.

Sony discontinued after-sales service for the PlayStation 4 CUH-2000 in December of last year and the PlayStation 4 Pro CUH-7000 series in January of this year. This announcement is roughly the same as SIE’s previous official announcement of product retirement. Now that most of Sony’s PS4-era products have been retired, Sony SIE is continuing to promote the PS5 console ecosystem.
