Sony SIE recently announced that it will stop some PS4 / Pro consoles and PS VR after-sales service.

It is reported that the PlayStation 4 CUH-2100 (Note: PS4 Slim model) series has stopped the after-sales service of the product at the end of October, Sony also claimed that it will stop the after-sales service of the PlayStation 4 Pro CUH-7100 series of consoles, PlayStationVR CUH-ZVR1, and PlayStation 4 Pro CUH-7100 series of consoles from December 20th, 2023 ‘s after-sales service.

Sony discontinued after-sales service for the PlayStation 4 CUH-2000 in December of last year and the PlayStation 4 Pro CUH-7000 series in January of this year. This announcement is roughly the same as SIE’s previous official announcement of product retirement. Now that most of Sony’s PS4-era products have been retired, Sony SIE is continuing to promote the PS5 console ecosystem.
However, the first generation of PS5 has been on the market for three years, Sony has announced that the new PS5 Slim model will be launched on December 1 in the Chinese mainland market, equipped with ultra-high-definition Blu-ray drive optical version of the suggested retail price of 3,599 RMB, the digital version of the suggested retail price of 2,999 RMB.
