Apple today released the iOS 17.1 RC version update, especially for Apple iPhone 15 and iPhone 15 Pro series models, fixing the “may lead to image residual” problem.

Since the launch of the iPhone 15, Apple has been getting feedback from users that the new model is experiencing serious screen burn-in issues. Some have speculated that this could be a hardware issue with the OLED display, and now Apple has fixed the burn-in issue through software.

While most of the reports of the problem are coming from “iPhone 15” users, some users of the iPhone 13 Pro and iPhone 12 Pro devices are also seeing similar issues, which is probably why Apple’s release notes don’t specifically mention the “iPhone 15”. iPhone 15″ specifically in Apple’s release notes.
