The Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen2, an upcoming flagship chipset from the house of Qualcomm, is said to launch officially in the month of November. The Snapdragon 8 Gen2 will succeed the Snapdragon 8 Gen1 chipset and will bring some massive improvements under the hood. The latest report hovering online has reportedly leaked the specifications of the upcoming chipset, and it is quite surprising.
Snapdragon 8 Gen2 specs; killed the competition?
The SD8 Gen 2 will have two ARM Cortex-A715 cores instead of the Cortex-A720, according to the credible tipster Ice Universe. Additionally, the ARM Cortex-top X3’s clock speed will be 3.2 GHz. The clock speed of the ARM Cortex-A715 and A710 cores will be 2.8 GHz. The ARM Cortex-A510, on the other hand, will reach a maximum frequency of 2 GHz. The business is expected to unveil the Adreno 740 GPU in the chipset.
The Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 chip, code-named SD8550, will have a 1 + 2 + 2 + 3 cluster arrangement, according to a previous report from Digital Chat Station. These clusters contained 3 ARM Cortex-A510 cores, 1 ARM Cortex-X3 core, 2 ARM Cortex-A720 cores, and 2 ARM Cortex-A710 cores. There will be a 10% performance increase in the chipset. The most recent set of specifications is different from the one that Digital Chat Station provided.

It’s interesting to note that some leaks also suggest the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 has an ultra-high frequency variant. The clock speed of this one will be between 3.4 and 3.5 GHz. But this might actually debut as the Snapdragon 8+ Gen 2. In the days ahead, we anticipate that more information will continue to surface.
