Recently, the first model jointly created by Mercedes-Benz smart and BRABUS, the new smart Genie #1 BRABUS Performance Edition, was launched at the Chengdu Auto Show with an official retail price of RMB 279,000. Officially, the production-related work of the new smart Genie #1 is progressing steadily, and the first batch of products have already rolled off the production line, and the delivery is expected to be officially opened in September.
It is reported that the smart genie #1 performance version is built by Mercedes-Benz and its royal tuning car “BRABUS”, in addition to the use of a new appearance package, but also replaced with a more powerful power system.
The front hatch has two cooling air ducts, very muscular performance car style, the roof is painted in red, forming a strong contrast with the gray body, but also uses of red exterior mirror shell, red brake calipers, large size spoiler, extra performance model.
The interior features an exclusive BRABUS Black color scheme, BRABUS imprint on the seat headrests and BRABUS logo with glowing effect on the steering wheel, and the steering wheel is covered with Alcantara and leather.
Powering the new smart Genie #1BRABUS Performance Edition are dual permanent magnet synchronous motors at the front and rear, which can explode 315kW of power and a total peak torque of 543Nm, accelerating from standstill to 100km/h in just 3.9 seconds.
In addition, it adopts a front MacPherson and rear five-link independent suspension. By rearranging the design, the BRABUS Performance Edition has a 50:50 body weight ratio.
The new car is equipped with a smart intelligent four-wheel drive system, which can realize three drive modes: rear-wheel drive, adaptive four-wheel drive and full-time four-wheel drive. It takes only 0.4 seconds to switch from rear-wheel drive to four-wheel drive, so that the vehicle can quickly switch between four driving modes: Eco/Comfort/Sport/BRABUS.
As an all-electric small steel gun, although the acceleration is in the 3-second class, without the engine running sound, it will lose a lot of fun playing with the car. For this reason, smart provides two kinds of simulated sound, including smart original sound and classic two themes.
Among them, the “smart original sound” simulated sound is sampled from the past smartBRABUS fuel version, while the “classic” simulated sound is inspired by the V6 engine, and the whole car is equipped with 13 Beats brand speakers.
