In the just opened 2022 Chengdu Auto Show, Smart #1 Brabus performance version announced the official launch, selling 279,000 yuan, offering 3 colors. In addition to silent black, laser red and matte gray are priced at 3,000 yuan and 6,000 yuan respectively, and delivery is expected to begin in the first quarter of 2023.

Similar to the regular version, the new car is based on Geely’s SEA pure electric architecture, designed and developed by Germany’s Mercedes-Benz.

The new car has some sporty packages on the exterior and will be powered by dual front and rear motors + an all-wheel drive system with a maximum power of 315kW and 400 horsepower, 0-100km/h acceleration time of 3.9 seconds, peak torque of 543N・m and a 66-degree battery with a range of 500km. In addition, the new car has a “BARBUS mode” and a unique “sound wave”.

The BRABUS Performance Edition has four driving modes: ECO, Comfort, Sport and BRABUS, and the power output in BRABUS mode is certainly preferred on the track, with a very pronounced pushback.

According to the introduction, the new car length, width and height are 4300mm, 1822mm, 1636mm, with a wheelbase of 2750mm.

In terms of the interior, the smart #1 BRABUS Performance Edition features an exclusive BRABUS Black color scheme and red stitching on the seats and steering wheel to highlight the sporty feel of the car. At the bottom of the steering wheel and seat headrests, the vehicle has the BRABUS branding.

In addition, the steering wheel of the smart #1 BRABUS Performance Edition is wrapped in Alcantara and leather and is equipped with metal pedals.

The Smart #1 BRABUS Performance Edition is powered by a front and rear dual-motor four-wheel drive system with 115/200kW front and rear motors and will be equipped with custom simulated sound, a more aggressive electronic control system and a drift mode.

The Smart #1 is equipped with a rear-mounted motor with a maximum power of 200kW, peak torque of 343Nm and 0-100km/h acceleration of 6.7 seconds, while the Premium version is equipped with a Sic permanent magnet synchronous motor and is expected to open for delivery in September this year.

This model is equipped with a 66kWh Li-ion battery, and it takes 7.5 hours to charge 10%-80% with 7.2kW AC slow charging, and can be shortened to 30 minutes with 150kW DC fast charging, and has a range of 500km for BARBUS Performance, 560km for Premium and 535km for Pro+/Pure under CLTC.
