E Ink Technology announced today that Sharp will display its latest color e-paper posters at the SHARP Technology Day event held at the Tokyo International Exhibition Center from November 10 to 12. This new A2-size e-paper poster uses IGZO backing and E Ink Spectra technology to deliver rich, saturated colours and contrast, delivering colour effects comparable to advanced colour printing papers.
Li Zhenghao, Chairman of E Ink Yuantai Technology, said that he is very pleased to announce that this is the first colour e-paper signage using E Ink Spectra 6 e-paper technology and Sharp’s IGZO technology. This is a breakthrough innovation that provides amazing Stunning colour effects, streamlined design, and zero power consumption on standby making ePoster an environmentally friendly and cost-effective solution.
In addition to the latest ePoster, Sharp will also showcase an 8-inch colour e-paper display equipped with IGZO technology for e-book readers and e-notebooks at SHARP Technology Days.
E Ink Yuantai Technology and Sharp Display Technology Co., Ltd., a leader in the display field, announced their cooperation. E Ink will use Sharp Display Technology’s IGZO (Indium Gallium Zinc Oxide) backplane to manufacture e-paper modules for e-book readers and e-paper notebooks.
