The third generation of Sennheiser’s Momentum Wireless, reviewed in TheVerge’s Headphones for Noise Cancelling, had impressed us with its comfort, elegance and high quality. The latest leak from Canada Computers, however, reveals even more changes to the Momentum 4.

Sean Hollister points out that the Momentum 4 headset does away with the adjustable/foldable silver metal headband and the classic look of the series.

With its switch to swivel ear cups and round headband, the Momentum 4 looks more like its competitors from Sony, Bose and Apple as well.

Momentum 4 is not only a change in form factor

In June, the company said – when it arrives in August this year, the new battery life will increase from 16 hours to 60 hours (a jump of nearly four times).

Also judging by the $449.95 CAD (about $350 USD) price tag, the Momentum 4 wireless headphones are expected to be more affordable than their predecessor ($530 CAD / $400 USD).

Finally, if you still prefer the classic look, the third generation of Momentum wireless headphones are currently offered at around $250 on Amazon/Best Buy and other sites and are expected to jump further when the fourth generation is released.
