Semiconductor chipmaker Infineon reports Q3 FY2022 results: revenues of €3.618 billion, up 33% year-on-year

Infineon announced its financial results for the third quarter of fiscal year 2022 (as of June 30, 2022) on August 3, 2012.

It is reported that Infineon achieved revenue of 3.618 billion euros in the third quarter, an increase of 33% compared to the same period last year; profit of 842 million euros; profit margin of 23.3%; free cash flow of 440 million euros.

At the same time, Infineon gave an outlook for the fourth quarter of fiscal 2022: assuming a EUR/USD exchange rate of 1:1.05, revenues are expected to reach approximately EUR 3.9 billion. Based on this, the profit margin is expected to reach approximately 25%.

Outlook for fiscal 2022: Based on fourth quarter revenue expectations, revenue for the full fiscal 2022 is expected to be approximately €14 billion (previous forecast: €13.5 billion). Based on this, margins are expected to exceed 23% (previous forecast: more than 22%). Planned investments amount to approximately €2.4 billion (unchanged). Free cash flow is expected to reach approximately EUR 1.4 billion (previous forecast: approximately EUR 1.1 billion).

The global trend toward electric mobility continues. Many countries are now seeking to achieve independent energy supplies, which will further accelerate the development of renewable energy sources. We are also benefiting from continued high levels of investment in communications infrastructure, data centers and cloud computing.”
