To celebrate the 35th anniversary of the Final Fantasy series, SE’s Final Fantasy 1-6 Pixel Replicas are officially available on Nintendo Switch and Sony PS4 platforms today, with Chinese language support, and are currently priced at HK$542 (currently about RMB 476).
This is a high-definition pixel replica of all six Final Fantasy games, from the first generation to Final Fantasy 6, and the Steam version is available in 2021 and will be available on PC and mobile in 2022, with support for Simplified Chinese.
Of course, the digital version also allows for one of the titles to be purchased separately. Final Fantasy 1 and 2 are priced at HK$89 for the individual titles and Final Fantasy 4-6 are priced at HK$ 129 for the individual titles.
In addition, SE will also release limited physical editions and 35th-anniversary commemorative editions. The 35th Anniversary Edition includes two coloured vinyl sheets, a physical copy of the game, pixel figurines, a souvenir box, and more. The Standard Edition will cost $74.99, and the 35th Anniversary Edition will cost $259.99.
Compared with the PC and mobile platforms, the motherboard of “Final Fantasy 1-6 Pixel Reprint” has added a number of enhanced elements, including pixel text, BGM switching functions, ON/OFF of encounters, and adjustment of experience points.
