Samsung now officially announced the Samsung 990 PRO series of solid state drives officially launched! 1TB version 1099 CNY, 2TB version 2299 CNY.
The Samsung 990 Pro PCIe 4.0 SSD was released in August of this year. Samsung says the 990 PRO series features new V-NAND technology and a newly launched in-house controller that delivers ultra-high speeds in the PCIe 4.0 interface.
The data shows that the Samsung 990 Pro SSD delivers sequential read and write speeds of 7450 MB/s and 6900 MB/s respectively, and random read and write speeds of 1400K and 1550K IOPS respectively. 55% better random read and write performance than the 980 PRO.
In addition, Samsung’s newly designed controller significantly improves the SSD’s energy efficiency by up to 50% compared to the 980 PRO, as well as adding a nickel coating to the controller and using a tabbed heatsink on the drive to ensure reliable heat management.
