Samsung and its subsidiary Harman International are showcasing an upgraded version of Ready Care technology at CES 2023. This is a new car driver assistance solution that collects driver data about fatigue and vital signs and can provide alternative routes to reduce driver stress levels.

One of the biggest highlights of the upgraded Ready Care technology is the ability to analyze the driver’s eyelid flutter to sense if the driver is feeling sleepy. The system uses machine learning, artificial intelligence and neuroscience principles for monitoring and analysis, and will emit a red flashing light on the dashboard accompanied by a warning sound after monitoring the possibility of fatigue driving.

Harman International is ready to bring Ready Care technology to market. The Samsung subsidiary is at the end of negotiations with a leading automaker whose name has still not been mentioned. If the two sides reach an agreement, Ready Care will most likely be available by the end of 2023. A Samsung Electronics official said that if an agreement is reached, the technology developed with Harman will “eventually enter the commercialization phase.
