Samsung reminds Galaxy Note users to choose to upgrade to the successor Galaxy S23 Ultra

Samsung had previously canceled the Galaxy Note series of phones and the Galaxy S23 Ultra launched in February this year has the shadow of the Galaxy Note series. Samsung is now reminding Galaxy Note owners of the upgrade to the Galaxy S23 Ultra via a blog post, acknowledging that the latest Ultra model is essentially a “spiritual successor” to the Galaxy Note series.

In a blog post on the Malaysian portal, Samsung said the “Galaxy Note series has served you well for years” and invited customers looking for a “worthy successor” to consider upgrading to the high-end Galaxy S flagship in 2023, “You’ll find [a successor] in the Galaxy S23 Ultra.”

The Samsung Galaxy Note 20 series, the last S Pen devices to carry the Note name, was released in August 2020 with Android 10 and has received an update to Android 13, but will not be eligible for upgrades to Samsung’s new four-year upgrade policy. Android 14.

The Samsung Galaxy S23 Ultra can be seen as a Galaxy Note with different label attributes, with a similar square shape to the Galaxy Note 20 Ultra, a slightly curved display and an embedded S Pen, including all the iconic productivity applications.

In Malaysia, Samsung is offering discounts worth MYR 500 and MYR 1,000 for the 512GB and 1TB models of the Galaxy S23 Ultra phone.
