Samsung overseas Galaxy A52 / A71 / F62 / Tab S7 / Note 10 Lite/ Note 20 starts pushing Android 13 and One UI 5.0

Samsung’s Android 13 / One UI 5.0 release push is accelerating. The Galaxy A52 in Kazakhstan and India, Galaxy F62 in India, Galaxy S21 / S22 in Canada, Galaxy A71 in South Korea, Galaxy Tab S7 series in Europe, Galaxy Note 10 Lite in Europe, Galaxy S21 FE in Europe, Galaxy Note 20 series in South Korea, etc. are now starting to push the Android 13 / One UI 5.0 official version.

The Samsung Android 13 (One UI 5.0) update brings a revamped UI design with expanded palette functionality, stacked widgets, larger app icons in the notification area, a tweaked Quick Settings switch, and a translucent effect in the notification area. Animations and transitions now look smoother.

The new software also brings per-app language settings for supported apps, improved built-in apps, and more accessibility settings. Samsung has added OCR (Optical Character Recognition) functionality throughout the system. As a result, the camera and gallery applications can extract text from images. Even the Samsung keyboard can open the camera view and capture text from the live camera screen.

Samsung has renamed Bixby Routines to Modes & Routines. it’s a simpler version of Bixby Routines, with a few routines preset for most people. both Bixby and Modes & Routines get new features and options. There are now more granular options for how each app displays notifications.

There are now more emojis, animated emojis, and AR emojis. There’s also a simplified privacy and security section, a new Connected Devices menu, and new multitasking gestures. Search performance within the built-in apps and One UI has been improved. The camera app received a slightly simplified design.

Samsung DeX UI has been improved and Samsung Gallery, Samsung Internet, Samsung My Files and other built-in apps have received many new features. Memory expansion can now be customized or turned off. The built-in image and video editors have also been improved. Detailed Wi-Fi diagnostic menus are also supported.
