Blogger Revegnus recently denied rumors that Samsung’s flagship phones will use MediaTek’s flagship processors in the future, but said that Samsung had considered using Dimensity 9000 processors on S series phones, but decided not to do so due to insufficient supply.
The blogger said that MediaTek had considered supplying 10 million Dimensity 9000s to Samsung, but this supply was far lower than the 30-35 million needed for Samsung’s Galaxy S series, and the agreement was ultimately not reached.
In addition, the blogger posted in February that MediaTek is rumored to have provided special prices to Samsung, and Samsung’s entry-level mobile phone series will expand the use of MediaTek processors.
Revegnus emphasized that the deal between MediaTek and Samsung only exists for entry-level chips, and there is no supply agreement for flagship chips. The supply of Dimensity 9300 has been fully allocated to Chinese mobile phone manufacturers.
The tipster also said that Samsung has reached an agreement with Qualcomm for chip supply for the S25 and S26 series mobile phones. Qualcomm is a customer of Samsung Semiconductor, and Samsung Electronics is also Qualcomm’s largest customer. It is difficult for MediaTek to get involved in such a relationship.
The Dimensity 9000 processor parameters as follows:
