Ahead of next week’s International CES 2023, Samsung has unveiled its latest Bespoke Family Hub refrigerator, which features a huge 32-inch touchscreen that can be used to watch videos, control SmartThings-compatible smart home devices, post sticky notes, view recipes, view family photos and more.

The Bespoke Refrigerator Family Hub Plus will be on display at Samsung’s CES 2023 booth in Las Vegas, Nevada, starting January 5, 2023. The new model has more than twice the screen size, 32 inches, compared to the 21.5-inch display that came with the previous generation refrigerator. Users can watch more than 190 channels in the U.S. or about 80 channels in Korea on this refrigerator via the Samsung TV Plus app, and videos can also be viewed in picture-in-picture mode.

Because the display is in portrait orientation, it is optimized for vertical video from services like Instagram, TikTok and YouTube Shorts. Users can also use Samsung’s Bespoke Atelier app to display artwork and paintings on the screen.

The Bespoke Refrigerator Family Hub Plus has built-in SmartThings, which means users do not need to purchase a separate IoT hub. The refrigerator features six SmartThings services: SmartThings Energy, SmartThings Cooking, SmartThings Air Care, SmartThings Home Care, SmartThings Pet Care, and SmartThings Apparel Care.

Samsung is currently selling Family Hub refrigerators with OneDrive integration, and in the latest model, Samsung has added support for Google Photos and also added Amazon Your Essentials integration, which allows users to order essential groceries. The refrigerator is expected to go on sale in South Korea and the United States in a few weeks.
