Samsung is building a desktop version of Exynos chip, plans to enter laptop market

0

@Tech_Reve revealed that Samsung plans to enter the Windows on Arm laptop market with a new Exynos chipset.

This is not the first time that Samsung Exynos has entered the desktop version, as early as 2021 there was news that Samsung was developing Windows on Arm laptops based on the Exynos 2200 chip (with an Xclipse GPU based on AMD’s RDNA 2 architecture).

Only in the past 2 years, as the Samsung Exynos chip has gone silent, there has been no follow-up news. Foreign tech media SamMobile thinks there is a possibility that perhaps Samsung never stopped developing the desktop version of the Exynos chip and kept it a secret for more than 2 years.

The Windows on Arm market is becoming increasingly lively, with MediaTek and Nvidia announcing a partnership to develop a Windows on Arm chip, in addition to Qualcomm Nuvia and Adreno GPUs.
