Samsung Electronics announced that it has partnered with Major League Baseball’s New York Mets to install the world’s largest and brightest digital display at Citi Field in New York City to provide baseball fans with the best visual experience for the new season.

The centerpiece of Citi Field in New York City now features two giant screens, the largest being a 17,400-square-foot (approximately 1,616.5 square meters) LED screen and the smaller being a 6,900-square-foot (approximately 641 square meters) LED screen. Since the fall of 2022, Samsung Electronics has installed more than 29,800 square feet of new LED displays at the stadium. Since Samsung Electronics’ partnership with the New York Mets, Citi Field Stadium has reached a total pixel count of 40 million.

Baseball fans got an early glimpse of the new digital display at the Mets’ “What’s New at Citi Field” event on March 23. The new display will ensure that fans don’t miss a moment of the action, no matter where they are in the stadium. Such a huge display will show the action on the field in crystal clear 4K resolution, as well as the score and a variety of other information and statistics.

In addition to the event, the digital display offers a variety of advertising opportunities for advertisers. The back screen is so tall that it can even be seen from the highway, providing even more advertising opportunities. This digital transformation demonstrates how display technology can improve the overall experience for fans at the stadium while increasing the ability to drive revenue.
