Some countries and regions of the Samsung Galaxy S22 series owners are still waiting for the January 2023 update, but the latest news is that Samsung has begun to push the second update in January.

According to a screenshot posted by user Rydah, his U.S. Galaxy S22 Ultra got the second update in January. But unfortunately, this update is still based on OneUI 5.0, not the OneUI 5.1 system that Samsung tested internally.

The Galaxy S22, Galaxy S22 Plus and Galaxy S22 Ultra smartphones get firmware version numbers S901U1UES2BWA2, S906U1UES2BWA2 and S908U1UES2BWA2 respectively in January 2023. The update’s installer size is the package size of the update is 353.78MB.

The new update for the Samsung Galaxy S22 improves the overall stability and security of the smartphone to enhance the performance of its device. In addition, it fixes some minor issues that you found in the previous firmware version.

On the other hand, Samsung is testing another massive update – One UI 5.1 update for the Galaxy S22 smartphone, which is expected to be released after the Galaxy Unpacked 2023 event in February.
