Samsung Galaxy Z Fold4 / Flip4 folding screen US version pushes Android 13 / One UI 5.1 update

Samsung last week released One UI 5.1 update for Galaxy Z Flip4 and Galaxy Z Fold4. However, the update was limited to the European and Asian markets. Now, Samsung has started rolling out the One UI 5.1 update to the Galaxy Z Fold4 and Galaxy Z Flip4 unlocked models in the US.

The Galaxy Z Fold4 US unlocked firmware version is F936U1UEU1CWAC. In addition to the new features of One UI 5.1, the new software brings a security patch for February 2023 that fixes a number of security vulnerabilities. The update is currently available on AT&T, BluegrassCellular, CSpire and USCellular networks. GalaxyZFold4 devices on other U.S. network carriers may receive the update in the coming days.

The firmware version for the unlocked U.S. version of the Galaxy Z Flip4 is F721U1UEU1CWAC. The update brings a February 2023 security patch designed to fix dozens of security vulnerabilities found in Samsung smartphones. The new update is currently available on AT&T, Bluegrass Cellular, Cricket, C Spire and Cellular South networks in the United States.

Users of the unlocked phones in question can head to Settings — Software Update on their smartphones, then click to download and install the new system.

The Samsung One UI 5.1 include easier tinting for selfies, quick access to Expert RAW, easier photo sharing with family using Shared Family Album, Remastering to automatically remove shadows and reflections to enhance photo textures, swipe up to view information when viewing images or videos in Gallery, search for multiple people or subjects at the same time, select Save screenshot location, use 3 emoji in AR Emoji camera, resize and move and erase parts of graffiti on AR Doodle home screen using brush place, new battery widget to check battery level of Galaxy devices, new illustration style and brief summary of current weather conditions, set different wallpapers on lock screen and home screen based on current activity, and more.
