The much-awaited Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 4 has been finally launched globally. The Galaxy Z Fold 4 brings some noticeable upgrades over the predecessor. The device stands outs on what one should expect from the 4th generation of flagship foldable smartphone from the brand. Samsung claims that the Galaxy Z Fold 4 has a fantastic camera, is the company’s most powerful smartphone to date, and is lighter and slimmer than previous generations of smartphones.

Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 4 Specifications and features

Starting from one of the most highlighted parts of the smartphone, the device flaunts a 7.6-inch Dynamic AMOLED 2X Infinity Flex primary display with QXGA+ (2,176×1,812 pixels), 21.6:18 aspect ratio, up to 120Hz high refresh rate with LTPO variable refresh rate technology support, which means it can go all the way down to 1Hz. Regarding the cover display, it’s a 6.2-inch Dynamic AMOLED 2X display with HD+ 904*2316 pixel resolution 23.1:9 aspect ratio and up to 120Hz high refresh rate technology. Both the displays are protected by the Corning Gorilla Glass Victus protection.

Under the hood, it is powered by the flagship Qualcomm Snapdragon 8+ Gen1 chipset coupled with up to 12GB of RAM options. As for the cameras, we have triple rear cameras with a 50-megapixels primary sensor with optical image stabilization support, 12-megapixels secondary ultrawide and a 10-megapixels telephoto zoom lens with up to 30X digital zoom and OIS support. We have a 4-megapixels front selfie snapper on the cover display and a 10-megapixels selfie snapper on the main display. In total, we have got 5 different camera sensors on the device.

The Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 4 has internal storage that can go up to 1TB. The device has a USB Type-C port, Wi-Fi 6E, Bluetooth v5.2, 5G, and 4G LTE connectivity options. A side-mounted fingerprint sensor, an accelerometer, barometer, gyroscope, geomagnetic sensor, proximity sensor, and light sensor are among the sensors onboard. The smartphone comes with a 4,400mAh dual battery, and according to Samsung, a 25W charger (sold separately) can charge the device to 50% capacity in about 30 minutes. Additionally, PowerShare wireless charging is supported. The first smartphone to use One UI 4.1.1 based on Android 12L is the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 4.

The device comes in three different variants; 12GB+256GB, 12GB+512GB and 12GB+1TB. The device’s pricing starts from $1,799. The Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 4 will be available in the colours Beige, Grey-green, and Phantom Black. There is also a Burgundy colour option available only on Samsung.com.
