Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 4 does not support 4K 60fps ultra-wide angle video recording

August 17, according to SamMobile, the Samsung Galaxy S21 Ultra brought an ultra wide-angle camera last year, which added the ability to shoot 4K 60fps video with the ultra-wide-angle camera in addition to supporting the shooting of macro photos.

However, the Samsung Galaxy S21 and S21 Plus were released without support for this feature. The same goes for the Galaxy Z Fold 4, which doesn’t have any upgrades to the ultra-wide angle camera and only supports 4K 60fps recording using the main camera and rear zoom camera, according to the report.

SamMobile says the Galaxy S21 and S21 Plus did not support 4K 60fps ultra-wide video at launch, but later added the feature via a firmware update, and Samsung is expected to do the same for the Galaxy Z Fold 4, and possibly the Galaxy Z Flip 4.

In terms of updates, both the Galaxy Z Fold 4 and Galaxy Z Flip 4 will get a major OS upgrade in four years, meaning both models could eventually run Android 16. The Galaxy Z Fold 4 comes with Android 12L, while the Z Flip 4 runs Android 12.
