Samsung Galaxy S23 Ultra renders: top and bottom bezels symmetrical

Leading Chinese digital blogger @i冰宇宙 posted a tweet earlier this month pointing out an error in the Galaxy S23 Ultra renders shared by another well-known tipster @OnLeaks in late September and said that Samsung has made significantly fewer changes to the new flagship than it did to the S22 Ultra.

Then, @iIceUniverse said people should wait for Samsung to release the Galaxy S23 Ultra instead of picking up the Galaxy S22 Ultra now, even though they have a lot of similarities.

Now, @OnLeaks has updated the renders. In the new renders, @OnLeaks agrees with @iIceUniverse that the Galaxy S23 Ultra will not have symmetrical bezels. OnLeaks still hasn’t changed his opinion though: Samsung’s next-generation flagship smartphone will be more rigid.

The leaker has allegedly received new information, which sees both @OnLeaks and @UniverseIce arguing that the Galaxy S23 Ultra won’t have symmetrical bezels. Nevertheless, the former hasn’t changed his opinion that Samsung’s next-generation flagship smartphone will launch with a more square shape than its predecessor.

Instead, the new renders emphasize that the Galaxy S23 Ultra has a thinner frame than the Galaxy S22 Ultra. In theory, these subtle changes could improve ergonomics, although the Galaxy S23 Ultra will still be a heavyweight smartphone.

Samsung is currently expected to release the Galaxy S23 Ultra in early 2023, possibly after the debut of the Xiaomi 13 series. The Galaxy S23 series will reportedly run Snapdragon 8 Gen 2, but it remains to be seen if Samsung will launch another Exynos chipset for Europe and some other markets.
