Samsung has reportedly started working on its upcoming 2023 lineup of flagship smartphones. The Samsung Galaxy S23 lineup is expected to launch in the starting months of the year 2023. Leaks and rumours regarding the device have been hovering online for the last few days and now, the device has been officially listed on the 3C certification.

Samsung Galaxy S23 Ultra on 3C certification

Ahead of any official announcement, the forthcoming Galaxy S23 Ultra has been listed on the 3C authority of China. The gadget has been listed with the model number S9180. The certification confirms that it will support up to 25W (11V @ 2.25A) fast charging option. This is less than the 45W charger support of the Galaxy S22 Ultra, but as we recall, the 45W charging of the S22 Ultra didn’t significantly reduce the charging times when compared to the 25W charging of the Galaxy S21 Ultra.

Other tests revealed that the S22 Ultra could only achieve 45W charging for a very brief period of time. As a result, it’s possible that Samsung has discovered a way to maintain 25W charging for a longer period of time throughout the battery’s charging cycle, which would still speed up charging times or even narrow the difference between the 45W charging figures for the 22 Ultra. Another possibility is that only some S23 Ultra variants, in this case, the Chinese variant, are capable of 25W charging.

Though the camera is predicted to receive a 200MP sensor update, the S23 Ultra is said to have a similar design and dimensions to the S22 Ultra. Meanwhile, we anticipate that the flagship will be powered by the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2. According to recent reports, Samsung will use Qualcomm chips in all of the variants of its new lineup, though it’s possible that some devices will come with Samsung Exynos chipsets.
