The Galaxy S23 appeared on Geekbench a few days ago, the suspected new Galaxy S23 Ultra has also appeared on Geekbench, with the model number SM-S918U.

The Geekbench listing shows that the S23 Ultra comes with an unnamed chipset with the “Kalama” motherboard logo and a CPU architecture of “1+2+2+3” with a main core frequency of 3.6GHz, according to previous rumours. According to previous rumours, the processor is Snapdragon 8 Gen 2, “1+2+2+3” i.e. 1 x 3.36GHz Cortex-X3 Super Core + 4 x 2.8GHz Cortex-A715 / A710 Big Core + 3 x 2.02GHz Cortex-A510 Small Core.

The test device achieved an excellent single-core score of 1,521 and a multi-core score of 4,689. For reference, the Galaxy S22 Ultra with Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 scored a maximum of 1,200/4,200 points respectively. The listings indicate that the test device has 8GB of RAM, and it is expected that the phone will be available in a version with at least 12GB of RAM. Furthermore, the phone is running Android 13, presumably OneUI 5.

Whether Samsung will also release an Exynos-powered Galaxy S23 model remains to be seen, as earlier rumours suggested that all 2023 Samsung S-series phones will use Qualcomm SoCs, while newer reports suggest that Exynos chips are still under consideration.
